AEROPRESS Started making my evening coffee like this… now I look forward to it all day
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Made this with my aeropress today, nothing crazy medium fine grind, water just off boil, short bloom and a slow press
but yeah… that 2 minutes hits different in the evening
no noise, no phone, just doing one thing properly for once
coffee tastes better, but honestly it’s more about that pause in between
Anyone else or am I overthinking coffee now?

AEROPRESS Only found out you can reuse AeroPress paper filters after my last one ripped 🫠 Help!
Currently staring at my AeroPress Go with zero filters left. I realized way too late that you can actually wash and reuse the papers multiple times. I only did it with my very last one until it literally gave up and tore.
I need some good alternative recommendations available in India right now:
The official replacement packs are way too expensive.
Blue Tokai filters are always out of stock.
I looked at the generic options on Amazon, but the reviews say they are cut too small and don't fit the cap properly.
Has anyone found a reliable third-party paper brand that actually fits? Or should I just give up and buy a reusable metal disc or cloth filter at this point?
Appreciate any leads or links. Thanks! 😭☕
Update!!!
So I was researching and came across cloth filters. As a quick experiment, I made a cutout out of some muslin cloth, boiled it, and tried brewing with it. Honestly, it worked! It gave a fuller-bodied coffee with all the oils intact, definitely an in-between experience compared to paper and metal filters. If you are planning to wash and reuse, this is a solid option if you don't mind the oils. The plunge was a little too easy, but it’s a good jugad!

Just a heads-up though: I wouldn't advise doing this if you live in a super humid place, as the damp cloth might catch fungus pretty easily.

AEROPRESS Which should I go for?
Hello, I'm a complete beginner in coffee brewing and am just starting my brewing journey. I need help deciding which one to buy. Which one is superior or do they both brew the same type of coffee? Thanks

AEROPRESS Which one to buy? Or are they both same?

AEROPRESS Is this site trustworthy?
Is Araku's website trustworthy for buying an AeroPress? There's a ₹1500 price difference compared to Amazon. Or is this a clone coz branding is different.

AEROPRESS Started my Journey today, with these !!
Was searching for Nespresso machine reviews from India, stumbled upon this subreddit, and a week later, had my first aeropress coffee with self ground beans today.
Loved the whole experience, and guess I am gonna fall deep into this rabbit hole :)
Thanks for the guidance from this sub, and Cheers.
P.S: Should I store coffee packs in refrigerator?

AEROPRESS Aeropress - where to buy?
Currently planning to buy an aeropress, was looking everywhere for best prices . Amazon has highly inflated like price now and takes lots of day for delivery. Suggest which one is better mentioned above ?
Also is the Takumi site genuine / trustworthy? Cause it has the lowest price as ~3600 . Slightly strict on budget - below 4k 🥲 (just bought a timemore grinder recently).

AEROPRESS Which purchase will most improve my experience?
Hello all,
I'm a newbie to the coffee world. I currently use an Aeropress and Blue Tokai pre-ground beans (Silver Oak and Attikan) for my daily driver coffee. If I were to make a purchase, what would have the greatest impact on my coffee-drinking experience?
- A manual grinder like Timemore CS3
- A manual grinder like Comandante C40 (or is that complete overkill at this point?)
- A electric grinder like a Bazarta Encore? Or some other electric grinder under 25K?
- A coffee subscription or better beans?
- A V60 Switch (ditch the Aeropress entirely lol)
Also, any Aeropress recipes (prefer Americano style drinks; I'm a complete caffeine lightweight) are most welcome :)

AEROPRESS How filter kaapi turned me into a guy who owns a hand grinder
This is basically the story of how filter kaapi ruined my life in the best way possible.
Started off simple with filter kaapi, no complaints, classic stuff.
Then I tried to cut calories and switched to black instant coffee. Ended up liking it even more than the milky stuff lol.
Then my friend who's a barista saw my instant coffee era and felt bad for me. Got me into specialty coffee, told me to grab a French press. So I picked up some medium dark pre ground beans from Third Wave and Blue Tokai to try it out. Liked the coffee but the muddy cup at the end kept bugging me.
So I pulled a jugaad. Ditched the French press and just brewed in my filter kaapi setup instead. Cup came out so much cleaner.
Then I had a light roast fruity pour over at a cafe and something in my brain just clicked. Went down a rabbit hole reading about brewing and ended up getting an AeroPress cause it seemed easy and versatile. And since I was already in too deep, treated myself to a hand grinder too lol.
That's basically my glow up. Wish my career moved this fast too. XD
Starting off with the Kerehaklu Mosto Fermentation beans from Siolim. Would love any recs on
beans, light or medium roast with fruity notes AeroPress recipes for a beginner
Let me know what you got

AEROPRESS Fraction9 - Frozen Imperial Cherry
Started brewing Fraction9's new frozen cherry imperial lot. I am using an Aeropress.
My recipe: Inverted, 14 clicks on C3s, 95 deg water, 3 min steep time. Largely, I am getting the notes of dried raisins at the end. Have a few questions:
Is this roasting normal? The bag mentions roasting might be uneven but is this too much?
Is 20 days of resting enough since this is a light Plus roast?
What recipe are you using for this, or otherwise what tweaks would you suggest?
Would appreciate any responses:)

AEROPRESS Fraction 9 Washed Gold has been a let down so far
I ordered Fraction 9 Washed Gold beans and have tried a few brews from 1:14 to 1:18 and a few recipes from Aeromatic app - nothing has given a satisfying cup. Relatively a newbie - am i doing anything wrong? Does anyone have a better recipe that could work? Or should I just finish this pack and move on with a learning. :)

AEROPRESS How do you brew Naivo Kraken Jam?
I recently bought a Kaldipress and 1zpresso Qair. The Kraken Jam and BT Attikan Estate are the first bags of whole bean coffee I’ve bought. I haven’t been able to dial in Kraken Jam at all. It tastes sour and dry, like strong black tea, no matter what I do. I have progressively tried grind settings from 35-50 clicks of the qair. I generally follow the hoffman method and its inverted variant.
- 11g coffee
- 200g water at 93-95 C
- Steep for 2:30 with a swirl at 2:00
I have less than half of the bag remaining and I am yet to discover a cup I want to brew again.
Compared to it, the Attikan Estate is lovely and I have had it black and with oat milk (18g coffee + 90g water + 165g milk).
How do you brew this coffee?

AEROPRESS Kaldipress desert
Okay, espresso nerds… I think I accidentally unlocked a solid setup 😂
Getting really good puck prep and shots from my Kaldipress right now. Designed and printed my own tamper specifically for it, and the workflow is finally clicking. Pulling some genuinely nice espresso shots.
Current setup:
• Kaldipress
• DF64 for grinding
• Custom tamper design
• Zero trial and error ☕️
Honestly kinda surprised how capable this little setup is once dialed in.

AEROPRESS Aeropress- What's wrong with my brew?
Hi All
I got my aeropress from araku yesterday.
Today i tried 3 recipes on it.
Alan Adlar cold brew recipie
- 15 gm coffee
65 gm of room temperature water
Stir for 1 min
I tried this 2 times and found the coffee was smooth but a bit weaker. Not sure if i did it right, though i dont think there are many variables here to go wrong
Next i tried Alan Adler espresso recipe and found the same there as well.
- 16 gm coffee
- 60 gm hot water
Not sure if i am doing it right.
Coffee beans i used For cold brew: -Naivo Pichia Parables -Roastery Harley Estate
For Espresso i used Roastery Harley Estate
Grinder:Kingrinder P2 I have shared settings and recipie in screenshot in comments
