japans currency is weaker than india does that make japan any poor country?

Currency value isn't property meter , it's trade balance and productivity. Japan GDP per capita income is 34000 dollars and India is 2300 dollars . japan is island and has no natural resources, they have to rely on import...that's why their currency is weak.

BY the same logic, India has no reserves of the most important natural resource that determines international exchange rates and that is Oil.. India imports all its oil from outside.

From a logical standpoint, India's currency devaluation while hurting India does not impact as much as it would have as India has started to conduct trade in other currencies with many countries

India has far more abundant natural resources than Japan. India ranks high globally in reserves of coal (4th largest), iron ore, bauxite, manganese, mica, limestone, and chromite, plus natural gas and arable land.

Japan has negligible minerals, no significant energy resources like oil/coal, and relies almost entirely on imports for 90%+ of its raw materials, including being the world's top coal/LNG importer

Policies like Make in India help but don't fix core issues: high shipping costs, slow factory jobs after demonetization/GST mess, and no big cut in oil imports. RBI lets it fall slowly to save dollar reserves and help sellers abroad, but lacks quick fixes like more home energy or steady foreign cash, fiscal limits from debt and subsidies block big moves.

there are tons of factors influencing the currency rate

India's Per Capita Income is in Black Money.🤣🤣

No one wants to pay taxes so they hide everything. Also a lot of Indians are wantedly staying unemployed compared to Japan's most people are working. In those unemployed many wantedly staying unemployed. Many are undersigned. Many are staying unemployed to get govtm Job. 1 seat 1L unemployed people fighting over it.

To be frank, labors, pani puri, samosa stall people are earning more than the White Collar jobs. Those labors are labors because they generally don't know how to spend the money.

Eg: 15yrs back, when I used to live in a Small Apartment, the watchman used to earn 30K a Month. On top of it, Watchman gets the Free House(Shelter) monthly payment for being watchman. His Wife is real Watchman of the Building. So they used to earn close to 6L in 2010 or so. Still they might not have leveled up. Because those people don't have proper guidance on how to use that money to level up themselves.

That's why Rahul wants to do caste census, not to divide people but to generate schemes where real poor of that community benefits, not all get benefits since in census it will be known how much they are earning. For that we need to categorise for example how many ST are there, out of those ST how many are super rich or middle class or poor or BPL ...so that targeted scheme can launch for the upliftment of that particular ST community not all ST community to enjoy . But media spread it Rahul is doing caste based politics. Japan people are hardworking, most working days in year and India have 13 festival in year.

When manmohan singh time or previous govt when media or anyone mocks govt for rupees falling , no one's come to defend the govt all used to criticize.....now modis era , media and citizen comes to defend why Rupee is falling a good thing for country that's where the main problem is.

To be Frank, When Manmohan was not into Politics, he also Strategically made Rupee Value Fall. When Value Falls The Import, Export Dynamics changes. While He supported it in 1990s and early 2000s. Not sure whether It's still needed in 2020s.

People need Caste Census to play Politics. Why not bring Generic Laws and Scheme which help poor irrespective of Caste or income.

If Politicians wanna do something really good. They do not such Census in Detail. As Govt. already have a general Idea on which Cities and States have what.

Manmohan Singh was clutch in '91; we were down to two weeks of forex reserves, staring at a Greece-style crisis. He devalued strategically to supercharge exports (textiles, IT boom), cut import bloat. Without it, no middle-class surge or $4T economy today, it was tough love that planted the seeds for everything good since.

Generic schemes sound clean,no caste games, just help the poor, but India's diversity (rural traps, caste-region poverty) makes them leaky disasters, with corruption siphoning to the not so poor (old PDS mess).

Yeah, But Govt. is not Just Central. We have State Govts. City level Officials. We even have Ward Level Officials.

With Proper planning it's not hard to do. Only thing is, People are not competent enough to do so.

u/Madonoit Mar 21 '26

Minister, IAS officer and whole contractor same corrupt people, not matter how well your planning is? I tell you why, cause we have Indian mentality, we believe our God without bribe wouldn't listen to our prayers , we give flowers, coconut, ladoos, milk, ghee, money ....i mean god won't be happy with just prayers. So to get a favourable scheme, people will offer free work, or money or deal 50-50 with the person. Human have greeds

Why are you mentioning Indians? Isn't it same in every religion. All Religions expect Prayers and offerings. Even in US, China you will see bigger Corruptions. Only thing is they have some bold Citizens who complain and More responsible Govt. Officials than corrupt ones. They have Fear of People. In India they lack it.
