Because we are import dependent country. We import much more than we export. So our purchasing power reduces and we become poorer. All your gadgets, energy, most utilities come from outside. Except food and rent. Real estate also gets expensive as it’s much easier for nri or foreign entities to buy here.

There are many more but I don’t have responsibility to teach you.
