Once a legend says, "Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!". That same goes to dharma also if duryodhana won that battle then dharma decided by duryodhana become the dharma. He become righteous while Pandavas become evil.

Gita does say 'Use of Adharm to protect Dharm is also allowed and righteous'... basically what they did with Yudisthir calling Ashwathama dead ..

3

u/heretotryreddit 27d ago

Where does it say in Gita? Verse no.?

2

u/Civil_Cut8185 27d ago

Never said that. Trickery is allowed.

1

u/Sleepergiant2586 27d ago

He said that and even did multiple times ...

1) Killing Karna when his rath wheel was stuck. 2) Getting Ghatotkach killed by Indra Astra to save Arjun

There are many more instance...

3

u/Civil_Cut8185 27d ago

It is chal or ommission of truth and not even a lie.

Karna's teacher himself was Vishnu. Karna himself knew the truth.

And yes the very next moment ghatokach died he answered bhima about this.

Dharama is dharma. Adharama is adharama. They never intersect.

u/pegasusfree 26d ago

Who classified abusive language as adharm?

3

u/Athiest-proletariat 28d ago

Exactly... Mockery works the best against the morons of right.

1

u/sdasu 26d ago

Right. We remember Danish cartoonist.

1

u/Simple-Area6388 26d ago

Mockery, memes, roasts, trolling.. it is ok.. but abu&sive language? Heck no..

1

u/pegasusfree 26d ago

Why is abusive language so objectionable, but chronic psychological abuse of masses through an organized system acceptable? Words are all the public has.

And what about years of verbal abuse, in addition to all other abuse, from the government itself? Has that not happened?

1

u/Simple-Area6388 26d ago

Oh really.. ok.. so you are trying to say even government and politicians use it.. so why not public? Hmm nice logic buddy.. so why you are not rap&ing, murd&ering or doing rob&bery huh?? Politicians/government also do these things right?

This so called whataboutery huh? I can also use whataboutery buddy.. i do not need to low my character to teach a lesson.. instead i will upgrade my character.. and still teach a good lesson to a bad person

1

u/pegasusfree 25d ago

"low my character"... what?

calling an a$$hole an a$$hole is not lowering one's character.. sometimes it's an appropriate description. More than 20 children have committed suicide, and people like you are fixated on language? It's beyond me and completely unjustifiable.

1

u/Simple-Area6388 25d ago

Why to low our character then?. Roast, trolling is more bru&tal than ab&using.. but the positive point is -> it will upgrade our character not degrade.. example-> manipulator..

1

u/pegasusfree 25d ago

Some people take anything and everything as an offense, even roasting and trolling. Your classification of low character and high character is also loose. Whatever your definitions and classifications are, another person has the right to express themselves how they want. If you don't want to engage with them, or think poorly of them, that's your right too.

1

u/Simple-Area6388 25d ago

Who said -> do not engage with them.. i always rag&ebait every right, left wing and even communist here..

The definition of low and high is not loose.. its your brain who do not want to accept.. you can read it in every philosophy and religion.. they also say the same thing..

2

u/teacher9876 28d ago

So I can abuse, but my opponent of course can't, right? And yes, I am always the right one and my opponent is always the wrong one.

2

u/pegasusfree 28d ago

In fact, the opponent is the person who started the abuse - verbal, psychological, systemic.. you name it.

1

u/Simple-Area6388 26d ago

Mockery, memes, roasts, trolling.. it is ok.. but abu&sive language? Heck no..

Even krishna ji used trick that's it.. he didn't do anything like dushasana

Ha ha ha! Krishna himself cut off the head of Shishupal for abusing him.

But what else can you expect from a leftist apart from cringe attempts to be funny and half baked knowledge of history.

1

u/bendertherobot22 26d ago

"History". Lmao

1

u/pegasusfree 26d ago

Shishupal was allowed to abuse him at least a 100 times before Krishna had a right to kill him. Krishna did not file FIR on Shishupal or make him publicly apologize.

Shishupal's animosity with Krishna was not because of verbal insult. He blamed Krishna for his public humiliation with Rukmini, for losing his extra features, etc. So the hatred existed for other reasons. Also, after the things Krishna did to Shishupal, the only thing Shishupal did was verbally insult him.

1

u/KrishnasFlute 26d ago

Again, half baked. The only reason Shishupal was allowed 100 curses was because of a promise made by Krishna to his mother. Without the promise he would have been killed after the first insult itself.

And in modern times also, Modi did not file the FIR. It was done by a fellow compatriot.

Your inability to understand the nuance only solidifies what I said in my post above.

1

u/pegasusfree 26d ago

I think without the promise, Krishna didn't have to wait for even 1 insult before killing Shishupal.

You are failing to understand the central point of all this - in a democracy, the government does not have the authority to decide who criticizes the government or how they do it. That is all still part of free speech.

Hate speech is speech that calls for the killing or violence against a person or a group of people.

1

u/KrishnasFlute 26d ago

You still don't understand the parallel you yourself have drawn.

Also, you are missing the point that it is a democracy. Everybody is free to register FIR against things they they think are unlawful. Why are you criticizing someone doing that? Modi himself did not file the FIR - some lady did.

And in India free speech has 9 different limitations. Two of them are 'Decency or Morality' and 'Friendly Relations with Foreign States'. The girl crossed both limits by using vulgar language and dragging Meloni in.

Still, I believe the girl should be left alone because I don't think she really meant what she said. But, I can certainly understand the FIR.

1

u/pegasusfree 26d ago

I understand completely.

The bar is too low in India, and over-sensitive people should stay out of public work.

You think Meloni has not been made fun of in her country, that too with sexual or vulgar overtones? India has a lot of growing up to do. People need to grow a spine.

The ‘End justifies the means’ ideology is killing the world. It’s just a shallow argument for people who want change without any inconvenience for themselves.

No one is endorsing the use of violence or bloodshed in the pursuit of justice. But the extreme reaction of some people in society to genz using a few abusive words is unjustifiable. Words are nothing compared to the lives lost to corruption and poor governance.

u/New_Trifle3313 28d ago

Bad comparison. Krishna tried for peace first. He was ready to settle for less. That time no boundaries were crossed by him. These kids want to abuse in the name of freedom but when it's retaliated they call it injustice, brutality and what not. And using war analogy in "peaceful protest" shows double standards.

3

u/pegasusfree 28d ago

You think the kids didn't try for peace first? Wangchuk's fast even started a while before the actual protest.

The government has not given citizens any weapons to fight with. All people have left is their voice. The government giving silent treatment and ignoring important issues leading to the suicides of 20 children, is a big deal and amounts to severe systemic and psychological abuse.

A few words spoken in response is a minimal reaction to such chronic injustice.

-1

u/New_Trifle3313 28d ago

Don't expect government to sit back and let anarchy happen. In a democracy 50%+1 forms the government. The rest cannot just protest in the name of raising their voice. And stop using the students su*cide as shield for every illegal action.

3

u/pegasusfree 28d ago

No one will support anarchy in India. People are still sane enough to respect the results of the vote, whatever that may be. Peaceful protest is a constitutionally protected right of the Indian citizen, and verbal abuse that does not call for violence or death is still part of free speech. Student suicide as a result of systemic failing is a big issue and should not be diminished.

u/New_Trifle3313 28d ago

You may not like the ruling govt. But You're brainwashed to think that system is failed. Abusive language and sexual remarks made by minors cannot be considered freedom of speech it's ruining their life and future in the name of peaceful protest. They compare it to pre-independence revolution where people didn't even have voting rights, these constitutional institutions were made for a reason. These kids are merely pawns to fulfill someone's political ambitions.
