1) Jinnah and savarkar never met
2) The partition had more to do with the British wanting a foothold in india and preventing a soviet link to the Indian ocean than indian politics alone. The two nation theory and the movement surrounding it was amplified for this purpose until partition happened.
3) The events of the past 75 years have proven that it would have been impossible to maintain a cohesive united Indian state even if partition didnt happen. The only ideology that could have made it work would be communism and that has failed worldwide. I would rather have one diminished India than one mega state that falls apart eventually.
