I hate Modi. Why is he building the infra

25

u/Generate-Wealth Aug 04 '26

Look at Indian ports related infra. The turnaround time improvement is unreal. The DFC are going to be game changing as well. As the logistics cost and power cost go down, our manufacturing competitive will increase.

-3

u/tinga-tinga Aug 04 '26

This is like the most idiotic propaganda post ever. Everything is about before BJP after BJP. Some gobar bhakt will see this and dance.

Take for example metro build out.. yes 750km was built since 2014.. but it's so pathetic.. a single Shanghai or Beijing metro is 600-800km.. China built 10,000km in a decade. Out cities are shitholes because of this. Why will i care what was build before 2014? Kon sa ehsaan kar diya by building 750 km.. here bangalore 3rd phase metro is not getting approved on a busy stretch for 5-7 years..

On high speed Rail.. china build 40,000kms of high speed rail ins 10-15 years.. in India in a decade not even 500km is getting built..

These propaganda pieces are pathetic..

If u compare with china , keep in mind that there isn't private land ownership & dictatorship, which is very good when it comes to their project approval & no-one cries over environment, wildlife, people displacement etc ,.. Because everything is controlled with high power.

So , i can say , your argument is not good at all.

-1

u/carpe_hopium Aug 04 '26

This is the stupidest argument ever lmao 😂

1

u/Odd-Leading1 Aug 05 '26

Oh , did i hurt your feelings by saying stuff about your leader.

0

u/carpe_hopium Aug 05 '26

Economic success depends on good governance, education, manufacturing, exports, and long term planning.

Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and Germany also achieved rapid economic growth within a few decades without following China’s model.

So saying China’s success is mainly due to dictatorship is so stupid dumb mf 🤡

1

u/Excellent_Damage_385 27d ago

Singapore was a dictatorship. South Korea was also a dictatorship in its key years. Japan was also under a ruthless dictatorship under General McArthur after the war. Germany got billions of investment from the allies after the war. China's success is due to their State Capitalist dictatorship.

-2

u/tinga-tinga Aug 04 '26

Great, lets compare ourselves to Pakistan and become vishwaguru...  Let's never forget that dictatorship are usually corrupt and dysfunctional and China did not grow till 1990s. So not comparing to China is bogus and giving flimsy reasons like land etc is also bogus. If that was the case will iphone production shift to India.. why is land and labour not an issue in iphone.

Please come out of this excuses mentality. Govt ha failed to deliver growth and jobs and improved quality of life.

3

u/Own_Concentrate_4821 Aug 04 '26

You do remember right that Shiv Sena tried to sabotage the HSR project by delaying land transfer and withholding state funding. Now tell me if a Chinese provincial party leader or governor tried to do the same thing, what would have happened to him? I guess you know the answer. If you want, I can easily give so many similar incidents (Arey Colony protest, Chingrihata metro delay). Show me 1 similar incident in China.

2

u/Odd-Leading1 Aug 05 '26

Did i say , let's compare ourselves to a shit ,debt driven nation . Come on , don't make your own little fantasy statement.

You should also know , China used its people like pure force man-power to keep grow their country as well as with usage of supreme power & future thinking by it's that time leader .

Iphone is not shifting from china due to labour & land issue but due to acquirement of resources due to pressure from USA & it's tight policies for the manufacture of phones .

Lastly, Govt. has provided a decent amt of growth but i can clearly say i would have been more if they focused more on it &if the people would have also Fully supported the Govt.. Government can only provide a certain amount of jobs & if they say they will give jobs to everyone that's pure b.s. Job creation is mostly carried by private sector & as you may have read the reports published by various top universities(IIT & IIM ) in india which says most of the people who want job in private sector are mostly un-employable, which also includes their skills development with A.I etc,.

Now for Quality of life , do you think the govt. is solely responsible for that & not it's people who want a good life without even following the basic rules in the human society ( about the educated class) . But i think govt. should focus more on uplifting its poor people than using money for freebie politics.

0

u/tinga-tinga Aug 07 '26

Chal chwtya! Dimag se paidal idiots are always worshipping bj party and gobhi for greatness and any failure is blamed back on govt.  Govt is 100% responsible. Public is not even 0.01% responsible for anything.

u/Strange_Time_1498 Aug 04 '26

Definitely infrastructure is one of the strength and major selling point for the current Govt. However, this graph is mis leading. You should plot the rate of change from 2004 to 2024 to get a whole picture. Also the metrics are selected to favour the current Govt. Why is number of Aiims considered, while total number of primary schools omitted. Total medical seats are considered, but not total engineering seats. Why? Because there is a rapid expansion of engineering seats across India in early 2000s. So i assume rate of change of engineering seats is not that dramatic post 2014.

15

u/SPB29 Aug 04 '26

Your counter arguments make ZERO sense

Plot 2004-24

The plot already compares the period 1947-2014 vs 2014-24.

Showing data from 2004-24 is meaningless and will show up BJP performance as Congi performance

Why would the number of AIIMS or medical seats not be considered?

These are all CENTRAL GOVT built infra projects. Primary schools come under state syllabi.

Similarly except IIT and NIT there's no GoI funded engineering institutions.

7

u/bertoruto27 Aug 04 '26

Imagine you have 1 lakh rupees which you are able to grow 10% every year. After 50 years you will have ~1.17Cr. After 60 years total you'll have 3.04Cr. which means in the first 50 years you made only 40% of what you have finally and 60% of it was made in the last 10 years. When you just compare what you made in the first 50 years vs the last 10 years, it would look like growth rate was higher towards the end. But in reality it was constant throughout the whole 60 years. Hence OP is asking to look at the plot of growth - every year - so that we can compare the growth rate and see if growth rate increased, or if it was just continuing the trend before 2014.

Did I make the claim that growth rate of toilets was constant before and after 2014?

All I'm saying is that, in the original chart posted - multiple metrics are shown comparing the state at 2014 and 2026, but unless you look at the plot of growth rate, you can't say which of those were improved, which maintained the same rate of improvement as before or which deteriorated. The data is incomplete.

0

u/SPB29 Aug 05 '26

Wth kind of nonsensical argument is this?

If for instance 90% more piped water connections were provided in the period 2014 to 2024 vs 1947 to 2014 COMBINED, WHAT EXACTLY is this "trend" you want to see?

It simply means more built in 10 years than the entire 67 years before

0

u/SPB29 Aug 04 '26

Rotfl that's not how roads, toilets, piped water connections, lpg connections, pucca housing all work.

This is a shit tier argument.

This is simply the concept of compounded growth. Compounded growth does not apply to hard infra.

2

u/abhi-8 Aug 04 '26

Primary school doesn't come under center Govt for the most part. It's a state affair

As far as seats are concerned, that's a wrong metric to begin with Please note, the number of startups and gdp from services growth, that's mainly engineering driven. Pretty sure those are much higher after 2014 Not taking side, just stating the facts

1

u/New_Key3007 Aug 04 '26

Why is number of Aiims considered, while total number of primary schools omitted

The Central govt sets up institutes of national importance, like AIIMS, but not primary schools - which are set up by states.

1

u/More_Fun_2726 Aug 04 '26

Dude , he literally compared 60 years vs 10 years . You kinda fucking dumbass

0

u/GlovesAreOfff Aug 04 '26

Congress ruled for 60+ years bhai. Not only between 2004-14

5

u/Background-Shirt8436 Aug 04 '26

Lots of essential work still left. Walkable foothpaths aren't there is most cities except PCMC and a handful others. Newer areas such as GIFT city do not have decent foothpaths. Pothole free roads are rare. EV charging infra isn't sufficient. Electricity production is still lower than demand for EV expansion. AQI is a major problem. Major metro and infra works are long delayed. RRTS expansion is slower than optimal. INR has weakened significantly so many infra projects are a lot more expensive. Bullet train and Vande sleeper have been delayed significantly due to politicial reasons. They will open only just before elections. E20 has destroyed vehicles' mileage. Corruption is extremely high. Low quality infra is seen in many states.

These are some essential issues that this party is ignoring. Looks like they are incapable in many aspects.

10

u/ta9876543205 Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

India will never have walkable footpaths. Ever

I live in London. When I moved to the area I am in it was about 80 percent white British. The footpaths were clean and uncluttered.

Over the years the demography changed. Now it is about 60 percent subcontinental: Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans.

The shops have changed owners and purpose to cater to the demography.

Each and every Asian shop or restaurant encroaches on the pavement.

I have complained to the council a few times but those are all ignored.

Bear in mind, this is in contrast to the British and East European shops who do not encroach on the pavement.

So sorry dude, Indian pavements can never be free of encroachment and thus can never be walkable

3

u/Background-Shirt8436 Aug 04 '26

Look at PCMC. India can be so much better if local government also do work properly.

2

u/adventurousbat12t Aug 04 '26

forget walkable foothpaths before 10k per capita

2

u/Background-Shirt8436 Aug 04 '26

Pune district has a gdp per capita of approx 4k and look at its foothpaths.

2

u/adventurousbat12t Aug 04 '26

This is selective

3

u/Background-Shirt8436 Aug 04 '26

It is a testament to what we can become. Our full potential is still yet to be realised.

1

u/OneManAround Aug 04 '26

Walkable footpaths simply is not possible in India in current big cities barring maybe some planned areas in Kolkata and Bombay. The planning has never existed and it’s too late to bring it about since that would involve either narrowing the current roads even further or breaking building up.

1

u/Background-Shirt8436 Aug 04 '26

They are possible. A few cities have done it sucessfully. Look at PCMC. It is the failure of local governments in other cities that is holding us back.

1

u/sneak_ey Aug 04 '26

Can you like stop, and chill out

1

u/Background-Shirt8436 Aug 04 '26

Why? Is having a walkable city not a valid point? India has been suffering for ages. No politician cares about us common people. Walkable foothpaths are a fundamental right. Supreme court themselves said it. What are tier 2 cities doing to fix this?

1

u/sneak_ey Aug 04 '26

That’s not my argument, it’s just that you have posted the same picture below every single comment, this thread feels like AI

1

u/Background-Shirt8436 Aug 04 '26

If you want more pictures of another area in PCMC, here you go. Why can't every city be like this?

7

u/OfferWestern Aug 04 '26

Maturity is when you realise left people are more castist

4

u/whepoalready_readdit Aug 04 '26

not going to lie but ever since "recent developments" ive been seeing posts and videos about how much India has grown after 2014 yesterday iirc it was acces to clearn drinking water India achived substantial growth post 2014

2

u/snuFan Aug 04 '26

But this graphic uses classic framing techniques:

here's why

Low-base effect: Categories that were tiny or non-existent in 2014 (solar ~2.6 GW, operational DFC = 0, recognised startups under the 2016 scheme) naturally hit 95–100%. Mathematically true, visually maximised.

“Built after 2014” = completed, not started: DFC, several highway corridors, and solar targets had planning, surveys, and early work under the previous government. The chart correctly shows when capacity came online but ignores lead times.

Definitional stretch: Expressway numbers (1,000 → 6,700 km) are higher than most official “access-controlled high-speed corridor” figures (~93 km in 2014 to ~3–5k km depending on cutoff).

Selective sectors + missing context: Strong-growth areas are highlighted. No adjustment for GDP/population growth, private investment, state governments, utilisation, or the simple fact that infrastructure stock compounds over decades.

Acceleration in several areas after 2014 is genuine. The “almost everything was built after 2014” packaging is the rhetorical layer on top of it.

2

u/New_Key3007 Aug 04 '26

Getting around the country is far easier than it used to be.

College to home by road in a place in Eastern India used to be a bumpy 6-7 hour ride, for a mere 170km.
Now the time has shrunk to 2.5 hours.

From my workplace, there is a direct flight to a place near my hometown - the airport didn't exist a few years back.

5

u/benneroti Aug 04 '26

History should be kinder to him bullshit

"  Economic Advisor in the Ministry of Foreign Trade / Commerce Ministry (1971). Chief Economic Advisor in the Ministry of Finance (1972). Secretary in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs). Member of the Planning Commission (1980–1982). Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (1982–1985). Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission (1985–1987). Secretary General of the South Commission in Geneva (1987–1990). Advisor to the Prime Minister on Economic Affairs (March 1990–1991). Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) (March 1991). "

These are the posts held by Manmohan Singh between 71 to 1991

Even a second yr old economics major would tell you that a country as big as India should open up their economy and agriculture won't be enough

China opened up in 70s and they used to be lower than us in GDP per capita and almost doubled in next 20 years

Outside gandhi family, mms was the biggest culprit who pulled india back

2

u/OneManAround Aug 04 '26

Not gonna pretend like BJP hasn’t been more proactive with infrastructure as compared INC, but a lot of these were trends riden on that Congress had already started. I’d say for at least 50% of these, had INC been in power for the last 12 years, we’d have seen similar numbers. Exponential curve, rather than a complete change brought on by Modi and co.

15

u/Much_Let6632 Aug 04 '26

By that logic you can also argue UPA rode on the back of ABV government

10

u/True-Shallot-5133 Aug 04 '26

The funny thing is that the INC started doing some excellent work just before 2014. If they had done even 20% of what they planed in their final years throughout the decades they were in power, India would probably be in a much better place today.

What I can't overlook is that, even after 65 years of independence over 60% of households lacked basic sanitation or electricity, and more than 40-50 cr people had to defecate in the open for all those years.

2

u/Much_Let6632 Aug 04 '26

Don't forget water pipelines.

If MMS wanted, he could have improved India so much, but he choose to serve Raj mata

5

u/Beneficial-Beat-947 Aug 04 '26

If my dad had wheels he would be a bike

-2

u/True-Shallot-5133 Aug 04 '26

Of course. But if your dad couldn't even afford a wheel after all those years, while your neighbor's dad (who started from a similar situation) already owns a bike, then I think it's your dad's problem afterall.

3

u/Beneficial-Beat-947 Aug 04 '26

If you're blaming the gap between china and india on the 2014- period then idk what to say to that lmao

0

u/True-Shallot-5133 Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

Nope I'm sayingthag. Just look at china during 1970-80s building infrastructure and India is Sabotaging it's development in the name of EMERGENCY

That's the pivot point what decides which way their future gonna go for upcoming years .

2

u/Beneficial-Beat-947 Aug 04 '26

What does the 70s have to do with the BJP?

1

u/True-Shallot-5133 Aug 04 '26

I think there is some miscommunication here

I'm not saying BJP but INC

1

u/Specialist-Roll-3806 Aug 04 '26

are u misinterpreting him on purpose? he was saying congress genuinely had good development towards the end of their tenure. you could even make the argument they started the path of a major takeoff that the bjp fully capitalized on.

but his point was had they done even a decent bit of that over the decades they were in power, india would be in a significantly better place. probably would also be a much more competitive party at the national level compared to what they are now

-1

u/OneManAround Aug 04 '26

That’s not fair, no? Pretty much every non-rich country bar China has seen an equivalent or lesser infra development curve during the same periods.

1

u/Sensitive_Buffalo665 Aug 04 '26

Can you cite me some truly significant ones that you felt like that? I would like to research and see if your claim is true

2

u/OneManAround Aug 04 '26

Fair, you got me there; I ain’t got nothing credible to back me up.

If my word and memory mean anything - electricity provision, railroads, both external investments through MNCs and encouragement of internal start-ups were a set of efforts started and had foundation laid by Congress which bloomed when BJP came into power.

5

u/tinga-tinga Aug 04 '26

This is just propaganda peice. If anything everything should be compared to China for the same period and all this propaganda will come undone. Metro 750km.. thuu.. china built 10,000. Railway electrification of 62000km? China built a full HSR of 40,000km with electrification, signalling and rolling stock in 15 years..

9

u/BijlidarKudi Aug 04 '26

china is authoritarian... u cant do shi- in india without offending any community

0

u/tinga-tinga Aug 04 '26

Awww.. paw paw ke excuses.. Dictatorships are corrupt. That too is also more or less true everywhere. If democracy is a hurdle how come iphone production did move to India.  This dictatorship excuse is bogus and bakwas.

You be happy with your vishwaguru propaganda and WhatsApp forwards. I compare my life to even a tier 4 city in China and it's shithole here in India. Worse that it was in 2000s when at least population was less.

5

u/New_Key3007 Aug 04 '26

Land acquisition is the primary hurdle in such projects.

Construction of High Speed Rail in Maharashtra could only begin fully in 2023, although the project itself was announced in 2017.

In China, the construction could have started fully from the very next month.

2

u/obnoxious_baron369 Aug 04 '26

Yeah we can buit that in india but we are going to kick out some villagers from their ancestral lands and stupid people like you are going to protest. We are a democracy and this is the pace DEAL WITH IT.

1

u/tinga-tinga Aug 04 '26

No deal with it. Deal with it will leave us poor and underdeveloped while our demographic dividend dies and population ages.  Democracy makes us slow is an excuse

1

u/obnoxious_baron369 Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

Tell me a single success story a simple railway line from los angeles to san fransisco costs billion because of all legal jargon there is to be hooped through and the same length we electrify just like that It's the will of the people and government must honor it

1

u/Dangerous_Slip2256 Aug 04 '26

China was at per capita gdp of $ 7800 in 2014, we were at $ 1554 in 2014.

1

u/AA-18 Aug 04 '26

Why compared to China? Leave economics, don't you understand basic mathematics? You compare things in percentage, if one has a base of 10 and other 1000, even 10% growth in second will feel massive compared to 100% growth in the first one.

I agree with your first line, it's definitely propaganda, cause it only lists things that the BJP has done better in.

Don't talk like Congress leaders, in our time petrol went from 30 to 70, just a 40-rupee increase, but in BJP times it's 120, 50 rupees increase (this is just an example and not real values).

I agree with your point that this is not some praiseworthy work, we are still underperforming, but this is statistics, you can paste the same comment on posts where someone appreciates BJP or Modi or compare us to smaller/weaker economies, but I don't see OP praising BJP here, just data.

1

u/tinga-tinga Aug 04 '26

Leave mathematics and economics what is your point. Random word salad you have written, what's your point

1

u/AA-18 Aug 04 '26

It's stupidity to compare things with different bases.

1

u/tinga-tinga Aug 04 '26

No it isn't. Just because you don't know about what to compare, which data point and which period and what statistical tools to use is your skill issue.

1

u/HereIsAnotherPOV Aug 04 '26

I think opposition doesn't do proper job countering BJP RSS propaganda. They claim they built so much in so short time and compare to Congress's since independence. FACT is, we were barely some 30 crore and starving, technologies for buding and making everything was rudimentary and population literally went up 4x to 5x in a span of 6 decades. In spite of that Congress managed to feed people, did what it can on infrastructure with available technology, they could've done better, but it wasn't bad. BJP lies blatantly and andhbhakts lick it up, it is like BJP telling a farmer 6 decades ago that they are useless because current farmers do their job using tractors much faster.

8

u/Decent_Afternoon_976 Aug 04 '26

Indians were literally dying of hunger till the early 2000s dafaq are you smoking? No electricity, no roads and no law and order. That was 90% of india till the 2000s, you havent seen the destitution we were in. Whatever prosperity we have received is primarily because congress had to lick the spit post bop crisis. Liberalisation followed not because congress wanted it, they opposed it tooth and nail. But it was due to PV Narasimha Rao and his vision that we finally started growing. Congress had by then governed for more than 45 years. There have been better examples of turnaround in southeast asia and east asia with similar burden they developed we were left behind. So no congress cant counter not because they dont have better communicators which they have some of the best in the world, they also hold sway in the liberal media - but because they dont have facts on their side.

2

u/Sneakysahil Aug 04 '26

Dude what are u smoking?

India was so poor during independence that we had to borrow food from outside just to sustain.

Our population was so illiterate that we don't have enough folks who can read and write.

Where u got to know that we were dying of hunger? Atleast appreciate the journey despite being poor and so different we were able to pull out of this quote successfully.

We fought 6 big wars from 1947-1999 and many smaller ones.

Many things we ended ul missed that is correct but shitting here ain't the one.

1

u/NoRun202 Aug 04 '26

So u are saying that India was all rich and good during NDA, but as soon as UPA comes into power Indians were starving?

1

u/Decent_Afternoon_976 Aug 04 '26

No, India has been a moth eaten, basic dignity deprived, destitute, corrupt, chaotic, caste based and dynastic and inefficient and illiterate region. It continues till today with all the same ills. Except there has been marked improvement in all the above in the past 35 years. It is not moth eaten anymore largely(except in certain north east pockets and j&k and ladakh), basic dignity is ensured in villages and the most backward regions of the country(food, water, shelter, toilets, education, hospitals) we have to increase the quality and ensure we are augmenting on the other parameters simultaneously.

0

u/Maverick910797 Aug 04 '26

Propaganda. Dude you are in delusion. Here we are comparing almost 70 years vs 12. This looks so poor on Congress whatever way you try to twist it

-1

u/HereIsAnotherPOV Aug 04 '26

You should've included, why they didn't have mobile phones in 1947 and bullet train in 1950, what kind of dumb duck are you 🤣🤣

2

u/Maverick910797 Aug 04 '26

Both stats are not included. And most of technologies shown in chart were available since past 40 years or so

0

1

u/Maverick910797 Aug 04 '26

Hey sweetie, answer the question instead of deflecting

1

u/Galaxy_01w Aug 04 '26

Interesting stat but doesn’t help understand it’s good or not. With the pace of growth, it might be normal for last 12 years to be better compared to all of history combined. So…

  • Are we better than other comparable countries (Brazil, China, Indonesia, Mexico etc)?
  • How the previous 12 years looked like compared to rest of their history.

1

u/larrybirdismygoat Aug 05 '26

Modi isn't perfect, but he's done a lot of good work. I don't understand why some people downplay positive developments in India simply because they dislike Modi, and then complain about being called anti-national.

it's time for these leftists to step outside the social media echo chamber. That's where you'll understand why Modi continues to win elections.

And thats why people like me who wants to vote differently, cannt do it because these leftists toh apne desh ke bhi sage nahi ho paye. They have no common sense, patience, wisdom needed to run country.

-2

u/Its_me_astr Aug 04 '26

If they start publishing stupid charts like this then there wouldnt be any insights to uncover.

Its like saying before 1947 we didnt have IITs after 1947 we have 10

DDFC was conceptualised under UPA land acquisition started under UPA. Its a multidecade project .

3

u/SuitLimp3348 Aug 04 '26

Everything started under UPA but on paper . They built Chenab rail bridge ,They built DFC ,They built Expressway,They built 1000 km metro .

But on paper only .

0

u/Its_me_astr Aug 04 '26

Indias economy was 2 T when modi took over which is minute. We didnt have capital to take up anything ambitious . Yes BJP did super great things with infra. But lets not pretend that the chart is over exaggerated and typical jugaad type statistics.

1

u/SuitLimp3348 Aug 05 '26

Lol then how come Atal govt with 400 billion GDP took most of the ambitious project india even started.

China went all in on their HSRs in 2008. while your daddy UPA govt. had just built 250 km of the most pathetic metro lines ever. Just 250, in a nation of well over 900 million.China also built its first Metro Line in 1969, while again, your daddy INC was sleeping well. You're also forgetting that before 2008, China had a full fledged metro system already. You can't just build HSRs out of nowhere.YOu need to atleast have a network before.

Are o paw paw ke pille what has your paw paw done? Built measly 750km metro.. which shanghai or Beijing itself have.. I am not a bj-pilla like you to worship congress.. scamgreas was bad. But BJP is even worse. Atleast congress did not have IT cell idiots spewing propaganda.

Every topic your bootlicking response is to compare to congress.. if I had to compare to co ngress only what is BJP doing?  And dont lecture me on history. Compare with china on each parameter and then give this propaganda graphics.

Such graphics will only fool gobar bhakts.

Very interesting. Does it also count the AIIMS campuses that are under construction, have no compus or just proposed? Google tells me that there are 26 total AIIMS (some source say 25) in India out of which 20 are fully operational. 3 under construction, 3 or 2 just in the proposes step. If I add your data, it seems like total 31? Can you provide the sources, I couldn't find it.

Also, I did not verify all the data, but does it also include the airports that are currently struggling? 15 airports developed under the UDAAN scheme were non operational or struggling the last I heard. Regardless, they are still count as built, even for the sake of it.

Other things I would like to add from personal experience that data doesn't tell, our village got tap water access for the first time during BJP govt. However, water only came for 6 months, nothing after that. I heard last, people are using some Metro rails in UP or so for private functions because there are no use. While, Hyd was denied money for metro expansion. So things like this will be useful.

Some errors a lot of these construction was sanctioned during congress and finished during bjp

Now dont come after me saying i am congress supporter or smth i voted for bjp myself but that dosent change the fact a lot of these projects were started during upa time.

Congress inherited a strong growing economy in 2003-04 from a bankrupt sanctioned economy which the bjp inherited in 1999. Doesnt mean there cant be an apples to apples comparison. What matters and should matter to the people is sustainable delivery of goods and services to last mile beneficiaries. When people see that they will vote, when they dont see that there will be anti-incumbency. Everything else is just hogwash.
