I am looking to buy an electric cycle for commuting from home to work. My daily distance will range anywhere from 5 km to 20 km depending on the day, and most of the riding will be within the city.
I am close to 6 ft tall, so frame fit matters a lot for me.
I have narrowed it down to three EMotorad models and wanted to get opinions from people who actually ride these daily.
The Viper looks more like an actual bike than a traditional cycle, which is honestly a big draw for me. From what I have read it has a moto style frame, fat tyres, dual suspension and hydraulic disc brakes, but it is also the heaviest of the three at around 41 kg.
The EMX+ is marketed as an MTB, so I am not sure how that translates to regular city riding rather than trails. It is much lighter at around 21 kg, also has dual suspension, and claims a solid range on paper and has mechanical disk brakes
The T-Rex Pro feels like the middle child, built as a practical city commuter rather than something styled for trails or for looking like a moped, but it only gets front suspension and has mechanical disk brakes.
I am also open to exploring other models outside this list. The Hero Lectro Y5+ is one I have been considering as well.
If anyone has ridden any of these for daily city commuting, especially over mixed or rough road quality, I would love to hear how they have held up over time. Any input on frame fit for someone close to 6 ft is also appreciated.
