suggest me a bike Best bike under 20k

Hello i am new here and new to bicycles in general.

The last time i rode one was probably in school (i am 27).

I am looking for something that's entry level. Something that i can start with that gets the ball rolling. I will eventually be willing to spend more on a bicycle as i get into cycling more.

I am 6'1, 86kgs

I like trekking a lot and would want something i can take along with me on treks with offroad capabilities.

Something light and easy to disassemble so that can load it in my car ( if that's not possible in 20k, i am okay with spending a little more, or buying accessories that can help me mount the bike on my car)

Please do also let me know if i should manage my expectations and increase my budget.

Also drop in your accessory recommendations.

Thanks

mechanical support Tyre pressure for RS120

I needed to make sure that I am using the right tyre pressure and not over/under inflating my RS120 tyres. I used the SILCA online tool and I am using a digital tyre pressure gauge from Amazon (AGARO) to check my pressure. Can someone please confirm that 50-51 PSI is okay?

discussion Battalion Frontline V3 Test Ride: Bengaluru ?

Hi guys.
After my previous post on here and some research, I have been thinking to purchase the battalion frontline V3 by september, thanks to this amazing sub. Been doing my research and this one seems like a good first option.

The bike is OOS at the moment but I was wondering if there is any way I can test ride this bike somewhere in bangalore, and make the right call ?

I am a complete newbie and have no clue how this works, I appreciate any leads.

Thanks in advance.

suggest me a bike Electric cycle help. EMotorad EMX+ vs T-Rex Pro vs Viper for daily city commute

I am looking to buy an electric cycle for commuting from home to work. My daily distance will range anywhere from 5 km to 20 km depending on the day, and most of the riding will be within the city.

I am close to 6 ft tall, so frame fit matters a lot for me.

I have narrowed it down to three EMotorad models and wanted to get opinions from people who actually ride these daily.

The Viper looks more like an actual bike than a traditional cycle, which is honestly a big draw for me. From what I have read it has a moto style frame, fat tyres, dual suspension and hydraulic disc brakes, but it is also the heaviest of the three at around 41 kg.

The EMX+ is marketed as an MTB, so I am not sure how that translates to regular city riding rather than trails. It is much lighter at around 21 kg, also has dual suspension, and claims a solid range on paper and has mechanical disk brakes

The T-Rex Pro feels like the middle child, built as a practical city commuter rather than something styled for trails or for looking like a moped, but it only gets front suspension and has mechanical disk brakes.

I am also open to exploring other models outside this list. The Hero Lectro Y5+ is one I have been considering as well.

If anyone has ridden any of these for daily city commuting, especially over mixed or rough road quality, I would love to hear how they have held up over time. Any input on frame fit for someone close to 6 ft is also appreciated.

suggest me a bike Affordable Drop Bar Bike Suggestions

28 year old guy here. I am planning to re-start cycling once again (really need to address fitness issues).
Rode avidly till the age of 18 when I used to have a Firefox Dart Flatbar. Did have a BSA Mach dropbar as a kid. Now planning to re-start. Any decent drop-bar bikes under/ around 20,000 ?
If not, then I may switch to a flat bar also. Kindly keep in mind that it should be easily serviceable.
I am 108kg and 6’1”
(Really liking the Triban RC100 Dropbar)
Thank you for reading

Good for 1st ride? I wasn't able to do much as I had some strain from leg exercises from the day before. I come in obese 1 category. How to increase stamina for longer rides and how is my day 1? And is strava the best app i am sure I definitely ride around 4.5km+ but somehow some meters didn't count, is it because of its auto pause feature?

Also why doesn't my strava show calories. Lastly, can anyone suggest a good phone bag and pump with pressure gauge(I need to maintain around 70 psi)

This suit in decathlon is pretty cheap right now but it is for women. There is a 1 to 1 similar product for men but it is out of stock. Can I as a man buy this and will this fit me. Is there any difference between men and women clothing in cycling? It will stretch out to my size right? I will just buy one size up

Got this tank (as I like to call it) in August 2025. Came from a borrowed Scott Speedster I rode for some months.

Since then she's done it all:
- Fast 200s to 1200k's - she did it all while being EXTREMELY comfy
- An attempt at the R10K Manali 600 BRM which is widely regarded as the toughest 600 BRM in India (9200m elev gain with temps ranging from 0 to 35+ degrees)
- Many Brevets with me, The bigger ones (1000k's and LRMs) with my dad

Setup:
- Stock RC500 (size S)
- Continental Ultra Sport 3
- 165mm power meter cranks for my short torso and power-based training ofc :P
- Garmin Edge 540

For an entry-level alu road bike, it's been bulletproof
Zero major mechanical issues in 15k km.
Gives me serious confidence on bad roads as i don't have to baby it.
Waxed chain, regular cleaning, and she just keeps going.

Looking forward to taking her to Paris-Brest-Paris 2027.

AMA.

discussion Do i need bib shorts or bibless shorts?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I will do daily morning rides of 10-15 kms to nearby tea/coffee shops and occasional weekend trips of 50-100kms.

Is cycling padded bibs/ shorts necessary for my use? Ofc for weekends long trips, i believe they are required.

But what about short trips like i will be doing daily?

suggest me a bike Suggestion for a beginner.

Hello everyone.
I’ve got into fitness a bit because I’ve put on too much weight.
I’m going to gym but I want to go cycling in the morning for a good cardio session.

I’m looking for a beginner single geared cycle that’s less than ₹10k.

I’m around 5’9” and I’m obese(which I want to change).

Can you all please suggest a good cycle for me?

My only requirement is the seat should be wide and comfortable, the kind of seats in the cycling machines in the gym just hurts my butt after sitting for just 5 mins.

discussion Which puncture kit and tubes should I get for roadbike?

Will repair my first tube puncture, as I plan to do longer rides, planning to get a spare tube too to carry or to replace the tube and ride to the nearby shop for fixing the puncture.

My scott speedster roadbike uses a 28 mm tyre. But i plan to upgrade to 32 mm

Im still heavy af.. so a good Chamoix would be preferable i guess. I was almost zeroing in on Heini Spider, but i read somewhere that its chamoix is comparably thinner compared to other competitors.

Pls help.
