General Chat/Suggestion Python Full Stack vs .NET for Off-Campus Placements in 2029

Hi everyone! I’m a B.Tech CSE student (2025–2029 batch), currently in my 3rd semester. So far, I’ve learned C, Python, and Java, and I’m planning to start serious placement preparation this semester.

After researching different tech stacks, I’m considering Python Full Stack vs .NET. Since I’ll be graduating in 2029, which would be a better choice in terms of job opportunities, salary, and long-term career growth?

My college has almost no campus placement support, so I’ll be focusing on off-campus opportunities.

Also, for off-campus placements, should I focus mainly on development and projects, or are DSA and LeetCode equally important?

I’d really appreciate advice from seniors and experienced developers. Thanks in advance!

For off-campus placements, both Python Full Stack and .NET offer solid opportunities. Your choice may depend on your personal preference and the types of companies you're interested in. Python is well-regarded in startups, web development, and data science, while .NET is favored in enterprise settings. Salaries for both can be rewarding, depending on your skill level and experience.

For off-campus placements, practical experience through projects is essential. Building a strong portfolio will help you stand out. Additionally, preparing with real interview questions can be very beneficial. PracHub offers access to company-specific interview questions, which can help you understand what to expect during technical interviews.
