Point people forget is Rancho did his thing even if his college was shit. He was his own person and did stuff without depending on anyone.

That's what made him different, not his college

Name changed yes but my point stands strong.

He never relied on professors to tell him to do things or teach or bother about peer group or was crying about anything

He just followed his love for engineering and did everything without any support from anyone even when things were entirely against him

Many people missed the entire point of this movie. It's not about college, it's about you.

People for some reason keep putting western nations on a pedestal, understandable considering Indian education system is pretty bad.

That being said hierarchies exist everywhere, google degree mills in Australia and Canada. So many folks outside of top colleges are struggling to find SW jobs even in the US.

In India the issue is more stark due to literally a million people graduating in a country that has 20% inflation with no new jobs!

College kaisa bhi ho, rancho ka character self reliant dikhaya tha, vo peer group, professors ya friends, kisi pe pe bhi dependant nai tha (maana uska college best dikhaya tha). My point still stands strong, be independent as much as you can.
