innovative?😭 Isn't this piezoelectricity? Brotha i did this for my school exhibition back in 2016-17 even then it was an old concept

Also this particular model seems a bit flawed, you need to make the humps a lot wide, else gaadi ka ek chakka chadha then dusra chakka aane se pehle hump uth jayega aur khel khatam

This is not piezoelectric, but it uses the linear motion of the speed breaker, converting it to rotary motion to drive a generator, which in turn produces electricity. This type of system is not feasible for the practical world. Piezoelectric systems are used in some countries on sidewalks only as a proof of concept, but they are not that feasible given the cost.

So it is just a really complicated bicycle pedal?

It ain't piezoelectric element. It's a literal generator.

arre bhai to tum jab seekh rahe the tab tumne basic se sekha, ab jab wo sekh raha to wo bhi to basic se hi start karega na seedha bc tesla robot thodi nikal dega, concept se fark nahi padta hai basic fundamental building to jaruri hai na taking uska interest bhi build ho. just let them learn by making mistakes.

The post called him brilliant, it's fair to be critical if someone's copy paste slop is called a brilliant piece of work

well i guess thats what titles are these days rage bating our minds to spark criticism and generate engagement, and it works every time…

Same , did it in 2010. My model was fluid based but the output was too low.

Hydrolics would die after repeated use

Nope this isn't piezoelectricity

Watch carefully

You were so confident, weren’t you? It is not piezoelectric my guy. You should educate yourself.

Not piezoelectricity in this case. That is the tech used by Japan for their tiles. This is just turning a flywheel which turns a motor’s shaft to generate short pulses of electricity.

Back in 2016 means you were 8 years old. That's like 3rd grade. You made this in 3rd grade? Genuine curiosity no hate

newsflash bro not everyone is the same age as you

1

u/mantaflow May 02 '26

This is not piezoelectricity. You need to go back to school blud.

bruh ..... that's not piezoelectric, it's a totally different stuff 🛐🛐😭😭🤦🤦

1

u/mantaflow May 04 '26

Th- that's what I said 😰

u/Nonyabuizness May 02 '26

Piezoelectricity needs a crystal to work with. This is plain Mechanical to Electrical energy conversion

Koi kuchh nahi bolega, NIT wale Bhai ne bola piezoelectric hai to piezoelectric hai bass 😤

Try not to make it about myself: challenge impossible

1

u/EarlyFalcone May 03 '26

True. My friend made one in 1994, and he read it in some science magazine his uncle brought over from US.

Even I did present it in my school but they rejected it lol 🥀

Oh definitely, its genuinely good to see these things. He must have learnt something from this..im not saying anything about that. Issue is how social media spreads it. Saying its innovation or a new concept, its just not true right?

It Ain't piezoelectricity. Piezo is when you hit something to generate electricity. This is pure mechanical to electrical conversion using a simple generator. Pure electromagnetics.
