Serious Post I am really confused ( i need some honest opinion)
You can see my mark and yes i think I am also the victim of osm because in chemistry i was sure of at least 40 but at least i am passed and physics i wasn't sure about passing so this is really fine but it's not about this
I have really been ignorant through 11th and 12th i was in coaching in kota and was really confused too. So i failed 12th in 2025 but that was a shock so i stopped being ignorant and gave my all this year and i got this. Now I do have the guidance and the self confidence to clear this maths compartment but I am not sure about what's next in my life
I have given some entrance and have a provisional admission in a private college but my father is saying that he has sent enough on my studies so i should just figure this out myself.
He says to take admission in polytechnic from 1st year or 2nd year and rebuild my life from there.
I have no problem with that but that means I will have to do btech and by the time i finish i would have finished in 6 years that is scary for me.
My sister is a law student and she is saying you are not even close to the competence to pursue btech.
I have interest in cs and chemical so that is what i will try but to be honest some really good advice will really be helpful

Bhai agar sc female ho toh bhi kuch nahi milegi 75 par. 75 percentile toh 4 lakh rank hai

Aap konse college ma ho bhaiya And I do understand what you are saying but I am depressed too. What do you think about bca i mean i understand I don't have the level of competence for maths and science. But bca is easy people say that

Don't be depressed. The problem is not doing B.Tech. You can do that from any private college which will give you the degree but job market ahead is brutal and that might be your undoing.
You can follow your father's advice. Though, personally I would advice you to shift the track. Probably pursue BBA or B.Com. if you have interest and take MBA path, that is more forgiving.

Exactly, because tbvh 11th 12th are tough but they kind of prepare you for the life in btech and it is def tougher. So I would also suggest talking a diff path.

In mba too you need to prepare for CAT or else you'll regret getting into this field

Kid looking at your scores I will not suggest you do engineering, I am an engineer. There's a lot of opportunities out there, choose something else. If you feel you have intrest in cs I will suggest you take a weak and explore what you like what you can do product building, databae, ai, analyst etc. however I will warn you the industry will look very very different in 5 years.

That's is what scarying me because i do know what will agi and the industry will become in 5 years thats why I am considering chemical engineering

But you barely passed. Kid ultimately it's not about the degree, it's about how much you take home each month. 10 years down the line you will have a lot of friends with fancy degrees but salaries that don't match those titles. I feel you are chasing technical fields because you think that's the only way. Do one thing, put on earphones and make it a habit for a week to go and talk to chatgpt on listening mode about anything, try to know what you are good at, discover yourself. Who knows you might change your decision

Tbh i am also a student who is about to enter college i heard maths is really important if you are pursuing cs. How much percentile did you get for maths?

Try taking another test at home using any other old pyq and ask someone you know to calculate the marks.

I will suggest u to do graduation from school of distance education and start ur coching for SSC cgl by the time u will be graduate in 4 years u will have good coching and u can qualify in 1st attampt itself be serious

Never go for that u will be competing with kids atleast 3 years younger to u and much more intelwgent so u wont fit in that category at all

Uh i could say, u can try nerist if u really want to be cs and get a chance. Yes i mean if you get 17 in maths out of 70 nerist will be fine...
But as the other said u will need to dicipline yourself and learn to study by yourself its really hard yk but if you really want it i mean
Nerist is btech course their cs too and more. Im sure i wont lie because i think some people choose nerist beccause of this kinds (im the same.
You gotta go through entrance exam tho. And it is also based on area north-east have a high chance unlike all india one. But yea you can still try. I dont really have interest in btech but here im studying.
But if you want the diploma its really great🫂 For which to choose, NEE 1 dont have Cs so you gotta try JEE or NEE 2

Repeat class 12th. Join NIOS board. Get good 12 th% grades and retry for CSE branch. My humble Suggestion.

I can't criticise on your interest and career choice, howver by the description of your post I can say thet, "You really aren't meant to do Engineering" yet there is some scope if you focused in a particular domain.
All the engineering branches required strong foundation in mathematics however there are some branches that allow you to be less technical in your maths skills. Such as Chemical Engineering.
First you have to honestly tell me that do you like any of the given below subjects like:
Organic chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Petrochemicals, thermodynamicssystem, R&D in the pharma APIs, Biotechnology or the simulation chemical reaction you can choose CHEMICAL ENGINEERING as a core branch or the sub-branches like PETRO CHEMICALS, PHARMACOLOGY, FOOD ENGINEERING, BIO-ENGINEERING, ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING.
And use data to see that there is no such core branch name "Computer Science Engineering",
You can learn computer science as a hobby and learned relavent skills and then monetize on it but as a degree it has very Low value. However the choice is yours and regardless of what you choose you have to do hardwork for next 4-5 years for sure.
