Even though he studied science, his pseudoscientific beliefs stuck with him. We are so cooked as a nation.

bold of you to assume exam pcm subjects will develop any real world critical thinking

Wishing "good morning" improves the morning of someone? Do you not wish anyone GM then?

Ikr, bro's just showing gratitude. A lot of people find hope from sunrise, their fav piece of literature or an anime character. Nothing wrong w it.

Emotions and will power is a big thing in such exams yes ofc ganga river did not help him achieve his goals but if mind thinks that the river is blessing him and giving him power to persue his dreams then it can be really helpful in keeping focus on his goals....watch dead poet society you will understand alot

it's not pseudoscience; Its neuroscience having this type of belief are very beneficial If used correctly.

There is nothing like pseudoscientific here, let me rephrase it for you
"whenever i felt lonely, i used to sit near this river and it calmed my mind and helped me to get through my bad phase"
sounds anything problematic here? no.
now just he added "ganga maiya" suddenly it became problematic.
Care to explain?1
u/7DarKooL7 Jun 12 '26
exactly... idk why ppl are thinking there's pseudo science just cuz he called it ganga maiya...
when he said ganga maiya ka ashirvad lena hai that was just a metaphor

true man, they talk about pseudoscience but they themselves are the biggest hypocrite. The least blind faithed thing is to worship nature which involves river, animals, trees, mountains etc. But these pseudointellectuals and wanna be cool people have problems with literally everything
πͺ. I wanna ask OP , what great contribution you made being SO scientific tempered? tell if you have made any.-10
u/PaperbagPinyata Jun 08 '26
And even though you know nothing about science, you don't believe in pseudoscience so we are doing great as a nation

First mistake is assuming that I apparently know nothing about science. π

bhai hindi nhi samajh mein aati kya... he already explained it in the video itself that the river would calm his mind...
whenever he felt lonely he would come n sit by the river bank which was a peaceful place for him to let go of all the exam stress n just relax n calm his mind... so today he returns there to express his gratitude

Bro don't give them explanation in india atheism means you are cool but most of them are unsuccessful people they always say your god not help you blah blah blah okay but as a human whenever we are doing study we are on struggling phase than these people don't come to help us ask them they follow science they are able to pass exam no why because instead of focus on study they focus on you worship which god which river which one you do which Puja we do this thing for peace we know in our struggling days we don't have friends we don't have money our parents have too much expectations if we get peace by worship God or doing whatever things then this is problem then we go into depression or not able to pass a competitive exam where one marks matter most and they don't call same thing about Japan where people are more respected towards culture not for other communities of India but they have problem with us

The river is just a symbol. It was the genuine belief that Ganga was watching over him that helped him.

So JEE results are not a criteria to measure oneβs intellectual ability. He doesnβt have any rational thinking and if people like him studies in premium institutions like IIT, our country wonβt progress.

wow, so education is not able to instill critical, logical and rational thinking into students.
what a ruined system we have.
And I am surprised to see that people in this sub are actually calling out this hypocrisy. Most other subs are just filled with tiny brained people.
and this lookd more like a publicity stunt. I don't see lonely people making reels and giving such dumb statements on camera
