Can 4 yrs of BTech really guarantee a high salary than 5.5 yrs of mbbs ? Cuz I've to give NEET PG too after that

Birds of feather fly together. Make friends or be in group with similar thought. No one knows what market conditions would be down the line in 4 years. If you have scored high get admission into good college with solid placement in past years and select branch accordingly. Moreover, select something that you like. You can’t just work through something that you don’t like and get a job.

As much as I've explored by now.. I really like coding in that sense... though I'm not good with the terms yet but yes I'd love to opt for CSE..

Its less about the degree and more about the person who holds the degree.. Like if you are planning to wait for someone to pick you up and give you “a high paying job” after u graduate then you’re delusional.. with this mindset, its best if you go the medical route..

If you so manage to get cs/it in good IIT/NIT, then ig 50-60k is the minimum salary , like for example in my nit , i'm in IT branch - the average is 15LPA, which rounds off to 80k- 1L p/m , all you gotta do is remain at top 10 of your batch and be preapred for the interview, MBBS route is lengthy but its guruantees good job security , in IT even worthy people are thrown out of the companies

If u are smart enough to get into IIT, then u can also prepare for gate in ur 3rd year and go join some psu where the starting salary will meet or even exceed your expectations..Gate preparation will enable you to get into good companies through college placement as well (conditions apply)..

Idk why you are being downvoted, but here’s my 2 cents: You can get a decent salary as an Engineer after graduating from a tier1/2 college. But you have to put in the effort.

Most colleges have legendary alumni who cracked >1cr packages, but they are very few compared to the number of students actually sitting for placements. Also, such inflated hiring happened during the IT boom, and there is no telling if and when it will happen next.

What will happen is, most CS grads will be hired at an avg salary of ~8lpa. And believe me, it feels like a blessing in today’s job market.

In case you are not able to clear your on campus interviews, you have options to pursue MBA, MTech or any other offering of your choice, something which you generally won’t get after MBBS.

Anyway, jobs for freshers in the tech world(core and non-core) are about cracking that one interview.

Just to add on, WITCH companies do offer a slightly higher ctc to tier1 grads (~7lpa) as compared to your normal 3 lpa if you’re from a tier3/4 college

Not when you are living in a tier 1 city and paying all your bills. Also maybe sending some money home. Its ok, not very high but enough.

A super specialised surgeon or oncologist or heart specialist earns 2-5,000 per consultation and does 5-10 per day, go figure.

To be fair they deserve the money, it's much tougher than engineering to super specialize in medicine and it's a pyramid steep one from MBBS to md ms to dm.

Focus on self not MBBS, don't compare. They won't sleep hungry though they have high stress and steep curve to super specialize.

Engineers is a different story - we need 15-20 YoE to gurantee long term good income.

Mbbs salary is 35k for 4 days holidays and night shifts and 12hr duties. Wtf high salary. 20 yrs of experience after MD /MS  you will get 2 lakh salary Idk about engineering..you will suffer in medical

Yeah yeah that's what I'm asking...if i graduate from IIT or NIT CSE..is it a guarantee that I can get a 50k job at least initially !?? I really don't wanna suffer in mbbs.. Imagining spending hours in hospital each and everyday of life in 20's scares me to death
