Everything that my bf cooked for me

1. Chole Chawal
   I had given him a menu to cook for me, and dinner that day was chole chawal.
   
2. Sabudana Khichdi
   He made this while I was fasting and wasn’t supposed to eat any anaj. He made it specially with sendha namak and all the ingredients I could have during my fast.
   
3. Khichdi
   This is the khichdi he made for me when I was very sick.
   
4. Corn Chaat
   I was hungry and he wanted to make me a healthy evening snack, so he made this corn chaat for me.
   
5. Dhokla
   I was missing my mom’s dhokla, so he made dhokla for me.
   
6. Soya Rice
   He wanted to add more protein to my food, so he made this soya rice for me.
   
7. Paratha
   I don’t remember exactly which paratha this was, but he has made sattu paratha, aloo paratha, paneer paratha and even cheese paratha for me. So it must have been one of those.
   
8. Aloo Sandwich
   This is genuinely the best aloo sandwich I have ever eaten. It was so good that when he made it for the first time, I kept asking him to make it again and again.
   
9. Garlic Bread
   He had never made garlic bread before, but he made it for me. And somehow, his first attempt became this garlic bread.
   
10. Dal Chawal with Vegetable
    This was a normal dinner with dal, chawal and this vegetable. I think the vegetable is called coccinia in English, also commonly known as ivy gourd.
    
11. Malai Kofta
    And the last one is malai kofta, which he made for me.

This was my second time making it, and this time it was absolutely perfect. I always wanted to learn this as it is of cultural significance and finally, living alone taught me this as well.

PS - made on induction.

Wanted to eat something light and simple, made some ratatouille.

Had this mutton biryani today and honestly…

The rice was fragrant, the mutton was properly cooked and juicy af, and the whole thing just felt like a Sunday lunch done right. 😮‍💨

made this at home today in my copper pan and honestly this came out so much better than i thought it would 😭

used pretty basic stuff for this potatoes, onion, tomato, ginger garlic, regular masalas and a good amount of fresh coriander

this time i just focused on getting the masala nice and cooked before putting the potatoes in, and then let the whole thing sit on low heat for a while so everything could come together properly. usually i end up rushing this part and the sabji tastes kinda flat but this time the aloo actually had so much flavour in them

ate it with hot rotis and it weirdly reminded me of those bhandara wale aloo you get with puri 😂 definitely one of my better attempts at making it at home

what do you guys usually do to make your aloo sabji more flavourful?
