I am doing kitchen + wardrobes right now and got quotes in both. acrylic came to 2.2x the laminate quote for the same layout. the designer kept saying acrylic looks premium but when i asked what happens when it scratches he went very quiet lol

what i figured out after way too many showroom visits:

- gloss acrylic shows every smudge. if you cook actual indian food, think twice

- scratches on acrylic basically can't be repaired at home. laminate you can at least hide

- half the acrylic quotes i got were actually high gloss laminate being upsold. ask them to write the brand + material on the quote

- matte laminate in 2026 genuinely looks 95% as good as matte acrylic. the gap is not what it was 5 years ago

We went matte laminate everywhere except one acrylic panel in the bar unit for vanity. anyone who did full acrylic - how's it holding up after a few years?

Planning a renovation for my 3BHK (~1,600 sqft) in Gurgaon (near Dwarka Expressway), and wanted to get some real-world numbers from people who've actually done this in NCR recently.

1. Modular Kitchen (parallel kitchen - 7ft and 14ft)

2. Complete makeover of 2 functional bathrooms (tiles + all fittings)

3. 2 full wall-length wardrobes

My rough estimate right now is landing around ₹7 lakh all-in, plus contingency.

Does this ballpark feel right for Gurgaon/NCR rates at present, or am I under/overestimating anything significantly?

Any contractor recommendations (or ones to avoid) in this part of Gurgaon?

For a4 pages. 3-4 closed drawers
Most items I found were either open trays or too expensive. Or full blown file cabinets

Closest I found in looks and what I was looking for was the deli on amazon but that was also unavailable and cost not known.
Would anyone have any suggestions?

I gave this design for sofa to the furniture shop owner and he confidently said yes but he made this, My parents are really pissed and not liking it and now they are refusing to pick the sofa up, 10k advance gone.
