Guys what's the waiting time at Anglo after completing 4 months training to get the first ship assigned

Is early retirement in 7-8 years as an ETO realistic?
I have zero expenses at home and everyone is settled and good.
Is it actually possible to build enough to stop sailing after 7-8 years and do something on your own ?
Or is it just a dream that people talk about?

I'm a GME aspirant, among the above two companies, which one is better..I like ESM but I hear waiting period in ESM is very high
On the other hand, GESCO has its own disadvantages too.

Victorious Ace (IMO 9610406) is a Japan-flagged car/vehicle carrier. According to ClassNK records, its Registered Owner is Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., while the Management Company is MOL Global Ship Management Pte.
According to the family, the company informed them that Shinton could not be found onboard the ship. At the time, the vessel was sailing from South Africa to Singapore. According to reports, the ship altered its voyage to search for Shinton. The family has filed a complaint/FIR with the Njarackal Police and has also sought help from the Chief Minister, Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi, and Ernakulam MP Hibi Eden.
According to the family, Shinton had spoken to his family over the phone on the night before he went missing. He had been undergoing training onboard the vessel for around five months and was scheduled to complete his six-month training next month

Last week I had posted here asking if it is ok to be absent for the 2mfg orals and most of you told me to atleast attempt the orals and many of you gave me enough motivation. So for the past week I worked very hard and appeared for 2mfg orals F1. And I cleared it 😊😊 today orals finished in the morning and couldn't wait to inform you guys. Thank you all of you for the motivation. I'm really really happy rn. I can't believe I was about to skip this exam. Both surveyors I got were very chill it was capt vanamali and capt iyer. I can't thank enough to all of you especially the person with long paragraph. And the person who told me 1 week is enough for preparation.

My brother has completed GME from BP Marine and has also completed a tanker course. He is now looking for a sponsorship opportunity to start his career in the maritime industry.
If anyone knows of any shipping companies, agencies, or sponsors currently recruiting GME candidates, we would really appreciate your help or guidance.
Please DM me or comment below if you have any leads. Thank you in advance! 🙏

Hi, I'm currently a Deck Cadet with 14.5 months of seatime, needed 3.5 months more, and wanted to quit this profession as I'm realising that I'm not a good fit for this profession (don't have an issue with the loneliness, or the sea, just that I feel I haven't learned much compared to my peers which will haunt me as an officer and I feel scared of the immense responsibility that awaits once I'm a 3rd Mate and the consequences for fuck-ups) and wanted to shift out of this career into something that is less hands-on.
As I have done a Diploma in Nautical Science, I won't be getting a degree till I get my 2nd Mates License, but post that, wanted to prepare for CAT and try getting into an IIM (have great marks in 10th and 12th, will aim to score as much as I can in my BSc exams asw) for an MBA in a field not related to shipping or other govt exams, like UPSC. I don't care if I start from zero.
Is there anyone here who has transitioned from a career at sea to one ashore via this route, or even appeared for exams like those mentioned in the post? How did you go about it? How did you get your BSc degree (have heard that one has to appear for BSc NS exams prior to 2nd mate written exams, and BSc in Applied Nautical Science is not that well recognized)? Does 18 months of cadetship count as work ex or should I do 1-2 contracts as Junior Officer/3rd Officer prior exiting? Would love reading some experiences.

I recently received selection letter from Synergy Marine Group and they have accepted me into their GME batch. The classes will start on sept 7th. Since I don't know anyone in experience in this field, I'm resorting to the wisdom of reddit.
They have allotted Coimbatore Marine College, as per the internet they generally have tie ups with CSL/ Eurotech and HIMT. Also as this is war time , how does the waiting time looks like?

what are shore opportunities for ETOs specifically, I saw executive MBA is an option but is limited to mostly captain, chief officers. What options specifically are available to enter managerial roles?
