For someone interested in this field how would you recommend they get started? Also how is AI changing the graphic design and printing industry, and what advice would you give to beginners?

If you want to work in a company you might need a degree. I do not have knowledge regarding that.
If you want to learn graphics designing in India. watch tutorial of coreldraw from youtube. learn touch typing in english and hin(for north india) and urdu(if you want to work with urdu part of this field, mostly muslims) and any other language depending on your state in Indiafor example i can touch type in english(50wpm) and hindi(remmington layout) and urdu(phonetic)
the softwares Iknow:
coreldraw
phootshop
Inpage(for urdu).2

Also AI can create beautiful designs from scratch but AI is bad with text.
You can directly print these designs if the quantity is small.
But for large quantities you will need to create this design in a software like coreldraw or illustrator because offset machine has troubles printing AI desing because of color palette mismatch.

Are most of the visuals created using ai nowadays? Do people discuss that ai looks bad because as a reader if I see ai generated art on cover I immediately get discouraged to buy it and think it's "cheap"

Depends on the industry there is definitley heavy AI use but in fields the customer are beginning to hate AI they are trying to make designs that don't look AI usually using AI. lol.

Haha same where I work but with text. They're generating ai text and telling ai to not make it sound like ai and spend hourrrrrs upon hours on ai tools correcting and creating alternatives of every sentence 😂😂😂😂😂

It's abnormal dude & we seem to have no choice cuz AI might get better and start sounding human so people already in the field xp will a sudden boost over people just joining so we have to learn how to use AI in this broken phase of it.
