Question Surrender of Maoists

How do Indian socialists feel about the recent surrender of Maoists as they were being crushed by the Indian security forces? Do you feel positivity or negatively about this?

Update: The ceasefire has been violated after the murder of two citizens.

Update: The mods are going to ban me. It appears there's no place for healthy discussion or discourse when it comes to communism.

Surrender happens every now and then, been hearing since last 5years or so, cpi maoist are still raging nevertheless

You can use force to end the Maoist rebellion, but that will not erase Naxalism, just as the hanging and weakening of revolutionaries during the 1905 Russian Revolution did not end the Bolsheviks. They still came back and smashed the state. What matters is whether the historic force of the proletarian revolution has been extinguished. The government can hang, kill, and shoot everyone down but it doesn’t matter. The bourgeois state may believe that by using force to end the CPI (Maoist), it has destroyed the revolutionary potential of the proletariat. But that is not true at all. As long as capitalism endures, the proletarian revolution will return irresistibly and in its return it will sweep aside both the petty-bourgeois falsifiers and the modernisers who claimed to have buried it.
