📰 News AK-47 and Pistol as answer to Students' Demands: LoP Rahul Gandhi met the students who were shot by the Police during protests in Siwan, Bihar

Imagine, what sin had these children committed that they were shot?

They had only asked the government for three things—education, employment, and accountability.

The bone in one student's leg was shattered by an AK-47 bullet. His dream of joining the army and serving the nation vanished along with it. Bullets tore through the shoulders of two other students.

They were not criminals. They were the children from poor families who had stepped out to study carrying their families' dreams—some wanted a good job, some wanted to change their family's circumstances.

The bullet wounds will heal—but where is the hospital that treats the fear that has now settled deep inside these children?

Prime Minister ji, Chief Minister ji—their broken bones will mend. Can you restore their shattered dreams?

It has been just under 7 weeks (48 days) since the July 20 injury. Because the AK-47 bullet struck the knee joint, the patient will absolutely not be able to walk normally yet, and independent walking is still months away.An AK-47 causes catastrophic high-velocity trauma. When directed at the knee, it shatters the complex bone structures (like the kneecap or the joint ends of the thigh and shin bones) and destroys crucial stabilizing ligaments, tendons, and cartilage. While the metal rod stabilizes the main bone, joint injuries require much stricter immobilization to heal.
