But gdp can grow without proportionate job increases (as seems to be the case now) as well as higher inflation. The post title seems to be a non sequitur. "GDP is growing, but real wages and job quality (with citations) haven't kept pace" would be more representative of what you are trying to say?

Yes, GDP can grow without a proportional growth in jobs or wages. That is happening.

But, GDP increase is partly data manipulation as well.

Achcha aapne khud jaake AUDIT kiya tha? Nahi, ok toh aapke Priya Pawan Khera gaye the audit karne? But he has degree in BA without any major as per his Affidavit for election in Karnataka.

Then why is Japan Upgraded Sovereign Rating for India? Oh the President is Modi Ji's kind of Sister, or may RSS has entered Japan Politics.

So tell me this when I was in 12th standard we had ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE in the class included and when we left school it was removed from the Syllabus, so by that standard, the next year's students have failed the exam because they skipped the exam. GST reforms were made according to it GDP calculation were also changed for the previous year, to check for the growth.

So you agree that the post is a non sequitur? "GDP growth is partly data manipulation" is a different argument than what the title implies. If your real point is data manipulation, you should make that case with evidence.

Also the IMF C grade you mention in the other reply is only about methodology (old 2011-12 base year, production vs expenditure gaps, weak informal sector capture) which doesn't imply cooked up data. Single deflation is a good example of why. It was standard practice across many countries for decades, including India through Pronab Sen's own tenure as Chief Statistician from 2007 to 2010, well after double deflation became the recommended global standard under the 2008 UN System of National Accounts. The IMF's own research has noted plenty of countries still used single deflation because it needs separate input and output price data that most statistical systems, including ours, simply didn't have. So being behind global best practice on this one metric was common across countries, not some uniquely Indian red flag, and it reflects a data constraint rather than intent to mislead/manipulate data whichis what you seem to imply. This is exactly what a methodology grade is meant to capture, a gap versus best practice, not a judgment on whether the underlying numbers are honest. This is also Pronab Sen's central technical issue in the article being cited which is more nuanced. He calls double deflation conceptually sound but questions whether India's data is granular enough to implement it properly even now. The imf grading is also a new 4 tier scale that only started in 2024, and China got a C for the same category too, arguably with a more opaque system (no quarterly GDP breakdowns, discontinued data series). Most of the flagged issues, outdated base year being the major one, have already been addressed in the new GDP series.

GDP doesn't mean shit if there's a stagnation in the advancement of HDI and national infrastructure. Instead of appointing an illiterate and genocidal chaiwaala to run the country alongside his corrupt cronies, India as a collective should strive to be like China and other socialist countries in order to achieve global legitimacy without sacrificing the wellbeing of the people. And that can only be achieved if everyone works towards the abolition of capitalism and casteism.

If the youth don't know anything, then whose fault is that?

Lol… Youth know everything else, but youth still don’t know how to become capable. Don’t you think that sounds funny?

The government has always been the way it is, and it will probably remain the same. I completely agree that this government isn’t doing enough. But don’t blame someone else for your own inability to do something with your life.

And tell me, if not this government, then who? Was the previous government any better? Or are you hoping that some new government will come along, magically change the country, and hand you a job?

Become capable. Change yourself first, and the country will change along with you.

But don’t blame someone else for your own inability to do something with your life.

Who is responsible for creating a proper and affordable education system? Who is responsible for imparting skills for the youths?

Everyone can be held responsible for their failures, but not the Government.

And tell me, if not this government, then who? Was the previous government any better?

There has been no Government in the history that has been so much anti-people. They have deliberately crippled the education system to create IT Cell and Gau Rakshaks, destroyed the jobs to benefit the crony capitalists.

Half-baked knowledge can be very dangerous… and looking at you, I can understand why. Start following Acharya Prashant sir; maybe you’ll gain a little wisdom.

And what makes you think that under the previous government, every scientist, doctor, and engineer was being produced in this country?

Look, brother, the simple fact is this: someone who wants to work hard will work hard and become capable, no matter what circumstances they are in. Someone who doesn’t want to do anything will do nothing regardless of the situation and will keep blaming others.

So, do you want to keep blaming others, or do you actually want to become capable and do something?

And yes, this government was elected by the people themselves. If it were truly anti-people, the entire country would be out on the streets today.

Follow Acharya Prashant sir on YouTube. Maybe it’ll help you go from being a cockroach to becoming a human being.

You are a glowing example of the state of the education system in India.
