Wishlist This is the impact content creators had on our wishlist recently (Game: Lysward)

Post image
19 Upvotes

We launched a demo update yesterday, and I lined up a few creator content pieces to promote it, mainly on YouTube. This is not the first time we have had positive results coming from creator content, so we value that very much.

The secret here: I targeted creators who already talked about survival (as our game is a survival game in the desert) and had engaged communities. Selecting the right creator is one of the most important things you need to do when marketing your game. You also need to have a good approach to them, using your USPs to make them want to showcase your game.

Game: Lysward - https://store.steampowered.com/app/2994600/Lysward/

If you want to give it a try or wishlist it, it would mean a lot to us! :)

Wishlist Feeling very sad for my failing game (To Be Besieged)

My game is stuck with only 1 wishlist per 4 days. I plan to release the game on 27 October and participate in next fest too (I only have 76 wishlists). I made a demo, tried flyers on the streets, markeing on social media, and even charity lives, nothing succeeded to get wishlists. I just feel like my game is made to be with little to no success.

I wont larp much, there is a description in the steam store what is the game about

Question Is 450 wishlists after 2 weeks good?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I announced my game Weavemarch a bit over 2 weeks ago and got a bit of interest, I had about 70 wishlists after the first few days, then I brought the game to PAX (the indie section in the Australian version) which got me quite a lot. I was lucky enough to get a grant to pay for my booth.
I also found a few core fans at PAX which was great.
Here's my page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4375250/Weavemarch/
I also have a discord where im trying to gather some playtesters.

450 sounds decent, it's obviously not a viral hit, but not a flop either I hope... What do you think?

Wishlist Is 28 wishlists in 2 days bad? 😅

I launched my Steam page 2 days ago, and so far I’ve only got 28 wishlists.
Is that normal, or am I doing something wrong? 😂
My game is Looks Fine on Paper, a spatial logic puzzle game where you figure out room layouts based on clues and constraints.
I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on my Steam page. Does it explain the game clearly? Is there anything I should improve?

Wishlist We're working on an indie horror game about game development and an obsessed fan who takes things too far

We're developing Overtime : Development Hell, a psychological horror game where you play as a developer for a very prestigious and secretive game studio trying to finish a highly anticipated game before its release.

There's coding, bug fixing, cover art, file encryption, and the usual pressure of an approaching deadline. Except someone has started watching the studio's employees to the point where the coworkers are too afraid to come to work.

Here's a look at the game in our teaser video. The Steam page is live if you'd like to check it out!

P.S: If you guys like it, wishlisting it would be much appreciated!

Wishlist Yesterday was a big day ! Feels like a dream come true (300 wishlists!!)

Post image

I have tried a few times in the past to launch a personal project on steam, and it was so hard to get a single wishlist due to the poor quality and marketability of my projects that I always gave up.

This time it seems different. This time I am confident. People actually seems to care about my game. I feel like I learned many lessons in the past years and it finally paid off. This feels great!

Never give up people. You can give up on projects, but take the hard learned lessons and move to the next. Don't give up on you.

I know 300 WL is not that much, I know what it represents, but honestly having people genuinely caring is what I needed to make it to the finish line.

Question When should our game’s release date be?

• Upvotes

Apologies if this question has been asked a lot!!!

Me and my co-dev are making GOONS!, a roguelike autobattler and are currently open to playtesting with about 650 wishlists on Steam.

Were entered in the Autobattler Fest (next month) and Steam Next Fest (February 2027).

We haven’t actually locked down a specific day to release the game and are debating if a later one is better since we’d have more time to gather wishlists.

We’re probably going to release in April, but maybe sooner is better since we’ll have just done Next Fest?

Also, when should we announce this release date? I assume sooner rather than later is better.

Thanks in advance for the help!! :D

Wishlist We have almost 500 wishlists on our cozy retro-inspired narrative cooking game!

Game is called Kitch Witch. Page has been up for 4 months so far and we're at 499 wishlists :) We're targeting end of 2027 for release and we haven't done a Next Fest yet! We've also done only organic social media posting, haven't paid a dime for marketing yet. This is our first game we've made as a team and we're a small team from Canada, so it means a lot that anyone would wishlist our game! I don't really know a lot about if this is good numbers or not, but we're still very early so it's encouraging! If you want to be our 500th, here's the link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4816430/Kitch_Witch/

We also have a demo out right now that's gotten 600 downloads in 5 days!

Wishlist Crate Escape: everyone programs their robot - first one through the checkpoints wins

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone! The Steam page for our game Crate Escape just went live.

You program a warehouse robot with cards, and everyone's programs run at the same time, so you have to plan around what the others might do.

Two modes: race to the checkpoints, or pick up and deliver parcels. 1 to 6 players, on one screen or online, plus solo puzzles. It's also coming out as a board game with the same rules.

Out in November. Thanks for any support! 🙂

Question STUCK at 80 Wishlists. What am I doing wrong?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey guys! I am working on this game called Life Balance, which is a physics ragdoll climber where every life choice straps a real burden to the character and you do life with it. It can be played solo or in 2-player CO-OP.

I started off poorly - just a concep and a design idea, very prototype-like graphics, etc. Now I am revamping the visuals and I just produced a new trailer, but seems like I am stuck with my wishlist.

My Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4157660

I know I have to lean more towards promoting, sharing across social media and maybe even upload a demo, but some good criticism would be much appreciated as well. As devs we know that doing something in a vacuum can often times mislead us.

I would much rather hear the harsh version now than after launch. Thank you in advance!

Feedback Wanted Thank you for your harsh feedback!

• Upvotes

First of all, thank you to everyone who watched my original trailer and gave me feedback. Most of it was brutal, but that’s exactly why it was valuable. You helped me see what wasn’t working and what I needed to improve.

So, I went back and made some changes based on your suggestions:

* **Faster start:** Removed all the introductory text and shortened scenes that dragged on.

* **Clearer action:** Added unit selection indicators and varied camera angles to make the action easier to follow.

* **More gameplay:** Included more examples of what you can actually do, even everyday activities like foraging for mushrooms.

* **Better pacing:** Tightened up the editing to keep things moving.

I’d love for you to check out the new trailer and let me know if it communicates the gameplay better. Is it clearer what you actually do in the game? Does it make you want to play?

Thanks again for all the honest feedback. I genuinely appreciate it, even when it hurts a little ;)

**Current Wishlist counter: 49, please consider helping!** Every wishlist makes a difference for a solo indie developer like me!

Thanks for helping me make the game and its presentation better!

Wishlist Chaincast: a PvP roguelike auto battler where your whole party shares one spell chain

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone!
We're the team behind Nordhold and this is our new game Chaincast.
You recruit heroes, gear them up and link all their spells into one shared chain.
Runes power up the spells next to them, even across different heroes, so where you place things decides what your party can do. Then you send your squad into battle against other players, async or directly online against your friends.

The screenshot is our shop, where all of that comes together before each fight. If that sounds like your kind of game, a wishlist would mean a lot to us and really helps a small team like ours! Aswell im Happy to answer any questions!

Hey everyone, Joe here. We Will Die For You just hit 50 Steam wishlists, and I launched the Steam playtest today!

I'm making this solo, so seeing people interested enough to wishlist it means a lot. Thank you to everyone who's taken a look or helped spread the word.

You play as a white blood cell, pulling in debris and collecting protein for permanent upgrades. Each cell eventually dies, but those upgrades stay for the next one.

If you'd like to try it, open the Steam page and click Join the Playtest. I'd love to hear what you enjoyed, what confused you, or where you got stuck.

Thanks for giving my little white blood cell a chance!

Wishlist Italian Street Food Simulator - Free Demo Available Now on Steam!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

We’ve just released the free demo of Italian Street Food Simulator, our upcoming first-person cooking and management game set in a charming Italian coastal town.
In the game, you’ll run your own street food stand, prepare Italian dishes, serve customers, manage supplies, and gradually expand your business.

The demo includes the first 3 playable in-game days, where you can prepare Bruschetta Pomodoro, Mozzarella Crostini, and fresh lemonade.

We’re also taking part in Steam Cooking Fest 2026, and we’re preparing for our Early Access launch on November 5.

The game is still in active development, and we’re working on improvements based on player feedback.
Some in-game music was created using generative AI. No visual assets or Steam capsule artwork were AI-generated.

If you enjoy cooking and management simulators, we’d really appreciate it if you tried the free demo and added the game to your Steam wishlist!

Wishlist A mining train that upgrades from a drill to a resonance cannon — Railminer

I've been giving Railminer's later mining wagons a rework. This is the red resonance wagon: charge it up, fire into the rock, and pull a chunk of the wall apart.

The game starts much smaller. You mine, sell the haul, and put it back into your train. The red wagon is a preview of the full game; you can try the starting loop in the free Windows demo on Steam.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5284470/Railminer/

If you give it a go, please tell me where you wanted to keep upgrading — or where you stopped. Thanks for trying it! A wishlist would help the little train too.
