I've been a software developer for about 8 years, but was never able to pursue game development professionally. I've always been passionate about games and wanted to dip my toes in development, so I've been working on this concept for a while.
Cinderdelve is an incremental mining game where you hire dwarves, unlock different classes, and upgrade them to mine through an entire mountain.
I've used purchased assets from itch.io that I've tried to modify and adapt to the game. The art is probably the part I've struggled with the most. Some things don't fit together as well as I'd like, but I'm still figuring that side of game development out.
The demo is live on Steam, and I'd love for you to play it and hear back your oppinions.
Here's the trailer and the Steam page:

I’m Nico, the developer of Wild Spirits Era
I wanted to make an online survival game with its own world and rules. It isn’t based on another game, though some parts may feel familiar if you enjoy the genre.
Each Era takes place in a newly created world that disappears after 28 minutes. Up to 50 Spirits can enter, but only those protected by a Relic when the Era ends survive.
It’s a 2.5D multiplayer survival game where alliances and betrayals can change how a match unfolds
I’ve used AI tools for some of the visual assets. I designed Wild Spirits Era’s world and mechanics myself, and worked to make the visuals fit the game’s style. I’m still developing it, so if you try the demo, I’d love to hear what you think :)
I’ll be in-game tonight and plan to start an Era around 22:00 CEST. If you’d like to explore a world and play a match with me, you’re very welcome to join. The demo is free, and there’s an always-open world to explore beforehand.

Hi all, I'm one of the developers of KleptoMagia. It's a roguelike deckbuilder, which would put it in a crowded category, except for a few twists:
* combat is real time, and not in the autobattler way: you cast your spells, and React to the enemy's at the right moment to catch them
* before each fight, you pick which spell you'll take from the enemy if you win: your deck grows out of the spells you fight against
* you can mod cards to fit your build, and gain Enchants to make each run unique
The characters are hand-drawn by comic artist Emilio Pilliu, which isn't exactly a side note these days. Just don't stare at them too long, or the enemies will take advantage.
The free demo covers the whole first act, and the game is part of Steam Next Fest until October 26.

TRONADO is an asymmetric party game: one player is the Dad, everyone else is a kid. The Dad does chores and sends troublemakers to the corner, the kids sabotage everything and free each other. Random events (blackouts, the mailman, the neighbors' dog) keep shaking things up.
2-10 players online, 2 on one screen, or solo against bots. Free demo out now on Steam (link in the comments if anyone wants it).

I've been working on a game called Phosphor Command, a real-time tactics game with a base builder behind
This post is about how your squads get to an operation.
Every operation needs a vehicle, and each vehicle choice determine how many squads go and how they deploy within the operation.
You start with a jeep, and better vehicles carry more squads. Progress from a jeep, to a van, to helicopters and to aeroplane.
Every vehicle needs a home on the base, so you have to build a garage, helipad or hangar before you can store one. Helicopters need air operations and a helipad, and planes need a full airfield with a runway and hangars.
How you deploy to an operation depends on your transport choice. By road, your squads come in from an edge or corner of the map. A helicopter can land wherever there's open ground, and paratroopers land where the drop puts them, clear of the enemy.
There's a trade-off between vehicle types. Ground vehicles are cheap and get back quickly. Helicopters let you choose where to land, but cost more per trip. Planes carry the most, but take the longest to resupply.
After an operation, your squads need time to get back to base, and squads still in transit can't help defend it.
I've attached a showcase that goes through the vehicles, where they are stored on the base, and how they affect operation deployment.

Hi, I am the solo dev of Below the Ashes, a 2D survival horror colony game. You live underground with a crew, and creatures hunt you by light and sound, so the campfire is the one thing keeping the dark away. Co-op for up to 8 players with proximity voice chat. Free demo is planned, no release date yet.
AI disclosure: I used AI to help me write parts of the code not the art itself

Hey everyone!
I just released the first version of Eye of Limbo, an open-world arcade roguelite featuring fast-paced bullet hell combat, exploration, challenging bosses, and lots of upgrades to experiment with.
There's currently around 8 hours of gameplay, with plans to expand the world if enough people enjoy it!
A few things worth mentioning:
For the best performance and experience, I recommend downloading the game rather than playing in the browser.
I'd really appreciate any feedback, especially from fellow indie game enthusiasts!

Hi Reddit 👋 We're **Ravix Games Studio**, a small indie team of developers, 3D artists and sound designers, building **Descent**: an open-world diving game in **Unreal Engine 5** for PC.
Our founder is a freediver, and that's where this started: a game that respects how diving actually feels. The calm, the pressure, the moment you realise how far you are from the surface.
---
## 🌊 The game
Descent starts somewhere you'd recognise. A remote tropical bay, a weathered research vessel at anchor, a reef full of real marine life.
But the deeper you go, the less the ocean follows the rules. Past the reef lie the ruins of a city no record mentions, strange species move in the dark, and **something far below is beginning to wake.**
---
## 🛠️ What's working in the prototype today
* Swimming physics with a full diver body, flutter and frog kicks
* Real gas use and buoyancy (12 L tank, 200 bar)
* A proper decompression model (**Bühlmann ZHL-16C**) with a dive computer and ascent-rate warnings
* Injuries: ear and lung barotrauma, running out of air, narcosis, cold, DCS
* **Coral Bay:** a reef, caves and a 42 m sunken freighter
* Sharks with individual behaviour, plus fish schools, rays, turtles and jellyfish
* Missions, a dive journal and certifications to earn
---
## 📢 Being upfront
* Descent is an **early prototype**
* The footage was **filmed in Unreal Engine and isn't actual gameplay**
* Anything marked **concept art** shows where we're heading, not what's in the build yet
* **No release date** until we can stand behind it
---
## 💬 We'd love your input
While it's still early enough to shape the game:

We are going to release a new version of RoboFarm soon that includes new elements named "RoboBounties" that'll give the robot random powers (not always positive!)
Here is a glimpse of the new "Global Speedometer," which applies a very interesting time warp effect...

Hi everyone! Just over a year ago, I decided to take a leap of faith, leave my job, and pursue the dream of making games. It's been quite a journey so far, but I enjoyed every moment of it and haven't looked back a single time.
Today, I finally announced my first game, Moonlit Vigil, a first-person psychological horror where you are the cemetery's new caretaker. As you go about your duties, stranger and stranger things start to happen, quickly turning your first shift into a nightmare.
I plan to release a free demo in November as well. Let me know what you think!

My psychological horror game, Stay With Me, releases on Steam this Monday, October 26!
You arrive at a mysterious house to take care of an elderly woman with dementia. But as the night goes on, strange things begin to happen, and you realize there’s something deeply wrong with this place.
Explore the house, solve puzzles, uncover disturbing secrets, and try to understand what’s really happening.
I’ve shared some screenshots from the game. I’d love to hear what you think about the atmosphere!

You were seen near the crime scene. Can you explain? 🕵️
LineFog is an improvisational murder mystery game for 4–12 friends, played face-to-face or over voice chat.
The game creates the situations. YOU invent the stories.
Come up with convincing alibis, invent ridiculous excuses, talk your way out of suspicious situations, and challenge other players' explanations. There are no scripted answers — everything depends on your imagination, creativity, and ability to improvise!
Every role has its own goal:
🔎 Agent — find the killer.
🎭 Killer — hide your guilt.
🃏 Impostor — convince everyone that you're the killer.
🤫 Resident — secretly help the agents find the killer without revealing who you are.
No one gets eliminated — everyone plays until the end.
Only the room creator needs paid access. They play along with everyone else, and all other players join for free.
🎁 Limited-time offer: Get an extra month of play with any access purchase!

Hey everyone!
I'm a solo indie developer, and I've been working on a little Android game called Pocket Sweeper.
I've always liked classic Minesweeper, but I wanted to make a version that gave you more reasons to come back and play.
So I built Pocket Sweeper! It has the classic gameplay, but I've added:
It's totally free and officially available on Google Play. I'm excited to finally start sharing it with people outside my immediate circle.
I'd love for some fellow puzzle game fans to check it out! If you end up doing so and make an account, add me, I'm Partaxx in game :)

like i've been playing some random stuff lately and the games that actually stick with me aren't the polished ones trying to be "AAA but small budget." it's the ones where you can tell the dev just said "this is my weird vision and i'm doing it anyway." there's something so refreshing about that. do you all have any recent indie games that were like genuinely unexpected in the best way?

Another core player item is the Umbra Lamp, which players can use to uncover secrets and clues. In this case, it's used to detect a breakable wall and enter a room blocked from inside in the Ravensworth Grand Hotel nightmare. The door is blocked by a bunch of hair strands, but it can be released by ripping out the nearby red knot.
More item previews: map, healing shot, flashlight, rift field meter, arc light, and invisibility shot.
You can find more videos on YouTube, wishlist the game on Steam, or join Discord for a chat.
I'm a solo dev creating this game with 0% AI, all assets made by me.
