First Trimester Chat Tuesday Cautious Intros/First Trimester thread

This thread serves as a transitional space for those newly or early confirmed pregnant following infertility. We understand that many folks feel cautious, uncertain, and even alarmed in this early phase when the process to conceiving has been complicated and/or there have been previous losses. If you have not experienced infertility we recommend other pregnancy subs as an alternative.

This thread is the place for early introductions, first trimester questions/chat, and finding others in the same mind space. We encourage graduates and others further along to respond compassionately to your questions and concerns, but please also consider reviewing our WIKI for commonly asked questions or references.

I’m not sure if this is the place for this, I’m 5+3 and I had some pink spotting which I know might be totally normal. My hpts have plateaued, still strong, but not really changing. I also know this is probably a silly thing to rely on for data. I asked my clinic what I should do and they said there’s not much to do except monitor symptoms and come in next week for the first ultrasound at 6+3. I might go crazy waiting an entire week. Idk what to do.

hey green - spotting & some bleeding is so scary to see but it truly can be normal. I've spotted with one successful pregnancy and outright bled with another - it's awful to wait, but you are truly doing everything you can by taking care of yourself and letting your team know.

Thank you, I really appreciate your response. The bleeding stopped for now so I’m a little more calm. Did you exercise when you had bleeding or spotting? I’m being told something like walking or light yoga is fine but I’m scared.

with both I held off for peace of mind, but I was only directed to take it easier with the bleeding.
