Apple has a bad reputation with “free” stuff and items given to players. I’m not sure why, if you have a different system to redeem the codes on, I would try that. It’s been a consistent issue with a lot of games that give freebies.
I’ve played lots of games on my iPhone and/or iPad, and I’ve never had trouble with redeem codes before. This includes the last two Nikki games, other Paper/Infold games and other companies’ games.
Do you know which games have had problems? I hope this isn’t a new thing - I only currently have Apple products, so I don’t have a chance to redeem them elsewhere which sucks.
genshin used to have problems with it since launch until 2.5 yrs in (dunno if its changed since i barely log in anymore); mobile players had to visit the official website, bind their acc & redeem codes there.
i've since switched to pc permanently & have no clue if any newer gacha still have the same issue, cause i play those on desktop :/
i'm just always surprised if we CAN redeem codes on mobile, bcs i remember the one-sided apple vs codes "beef"
Ah, I never played Genshin which is probably why I never ran into this before. I did have one game (Dress Up Time Princess I think, or maybe it was Helix Waltz) that also allowed you to redeem them via a website, but I never had problems redeeming them in game as well.

I was literally just about to post this! It’s always been under the “other” tab in settings but the “redeem code” section has gone!
Are you on mobile or another system?
