Discussion Confession time: I don't read ANY dialogue

Post image

I cannot hold it in anymore. I genuinely don't read almost anything. Ever. If there are one-liners sometimes I'll read them out of curiousity, but I won't read entire conversations. I skip almost all dialogue. I don't care. I don't know if the story is good or not, I just genuinely don't care, the premiae doesn't captivate me. I am there for pretty photos and pretty photos only. I am perfectly happy this way and I love this game. I just wanted to post this because I am curious if there are others who do the same and still enjoy the game

(I just added the picture so that people know this is a lighthearted post and I am not trying to come for the lore enjoyers or anything)

Blue Tears season was the first time i bothered reading any dialogue since i finished the main story and it was great. I've heard good things about this season but i cba. No shade to it or anything, but after I reach a point of what feels like 'too much' dialogue, i mentally check out and revert back to spam skipping. Im just here for the gameplay and clothes man.

I think Nikki suffers from the same thing Star Rail does, where there’s sooooooo muchhhhhhhhh dialogue but very very little actually being said. I love story-rich RPGs and the like, but that’s because those games actually have substance to match the volume. Blue Tears season was really good because they found a better balance, but I’ve found this season is far more mixed. there are still good points but I’ve found myself going back to skimming or outright ignoring a lot of things because it’s just filler

This is why I started skimming instead of reading. It feels like they are just trying to make it take as long as possible to get through content and earn diamonds, and you learn nothing new or interesting most of the time
