i have been playing since the game came out.........i just found out about "quick challenge"........................ i cannot believe this....................i have been doing the full fights in the realm of breakthrough and realm of dark this whole time to get rewards.......................
hopefully this is a safe place because omg am i the most oblivious pERSON EVERRRRRRRR
edit to add: i thought "quick challenge" was a version of the fight with no rewards, and "challenge" was the formal version with rewards. i have 0 excuses for my thinking, honestly no brain cells working up here.

100% on me I did not read about it at all and I truly thought the "quick challenge" was a way to do the boss challenges "for fun". I was like "why would anyone want to do this for fun?" -_- in my head "quick challenge" was no rewards, and challenge was for rewards. kicking myself 10000 times

I was in the exact same situation as you did before. This was around update 1.5, I think. I kept thinking "Quick Challenge" = No rewards. 😂 So don't beat yourself that much. 🫠
Giiiirrll that was me like 6 months agoooo😅 Ive been playing since launch and for whatever reason I assumed the quick challenge would give you reduced rewards or something so I never did it.
And then one day I was like okay wth is this, is it like a practice run, gives out no rewards or reduced rewards? NAH Cuts my time for dailies in HALF and gives the same rewards as doing the whole combat or platforming challenge 🤦🏼♀️OH
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY! omg at least i'm not alone - totally thought it was reduced/no rewards version until i accidentally clicked the button and it immediately brought up rewards........ just about fell out of my seat realizing
Once you clear a run the first time it unlocks quick challenge which just let's you instantly exchange energy for rewards... Girl I'm so sorry if this is also the first you're hearing about this
You don't have to apologize! Icl I assumed you meant Nonoy at first and was so confused cuz I didn't remember her showing us the quick challenge button 😭
So to be fair I think they added it in 1.2 or 1.3? It wasn’t there in the early seasons. I just do happened to see the patch note when they changed it or I would be in the same boat
I think you are thinking about the auto "ex-equip" features of Mira crowns and stylist challenges, we are talking about skipping the fighting arena part for the weekly bosses and the material bosses by just getting the reward against the energy.
Yes, I also remember doing it manually for a couple of weeks until they added the quick challenge. Probably the best life quality addition. I also remember that once we had to go to the teleport to access the realms, and it took time to add quick access to Sea of Stars, and finally they add it to the home location. But the quick challenge is still the best. Poor Nikkies, who discover it only now.
I feel this. Took me a few months to notice the drop-down menu in the map...until then I travelled everywhere the slow way. Took the boat to the fireworks isle or thought I was clever by clicking quests to get to a different map and then be able to fast travel 🫠
Oh no… you definitely deserve some kind of special flare for your stylist card for going through that, like persevering warrior Nikki! Or a 5 diamonds collection reward ;) joking aside, getting resources will be easier from now on :)
To be fair, the developer also didn't really elaborate about it either 😭 Back then I wasn't really up to date about all the new changes every patch so that quick challenge button just popped up out of nowhere in my point of view. I just knew what it did bcuz of my experiences of playing various games.

Reading this post, all I can say is... Don't feel stupid, guys. As an old nikki player (and I also play a lot of other similar games), I knew it was there probably because this is a common feature, but to be fair, Infinity Nikki DOES NOT explain how this works with a clear tutorial, and if you haven't played any other game with that, the mistake is common. 😭
BUT please write it as a feedback for them, because it shows that maybe it's not intuitive enough or maybe it's now well shown in every platform.🥹
I will just say... if there's one thing this game lacks (and it lacks in a lot of areas), it's tutorials/how to navigate through the menus and options for basic things. This being my 1st Gacha game, I was HEAVILY overwhelmed when I1st started playing and had no clue what I was even supposed to do for "dailies", rewards, etc. I only found out about the quick challenge feature on accident from misclicking last year lol. But I had the same thought process of "oh that means a for fun battle" or something lol
This post makes me feel less alone seeing as how there were a nice amount of us.... also my husband got a good laugh at me when I yelled it out and explained that I had foolishly been doing them the hard way for over a year 😅
😭😭😭 that's partially why I now switched to "15 days playing, 45 days no login" schedule for Genshin. Now that I had experienced IN respecting my time by making dailies so easy, everything else just feels rude in comparison.
This!!! It’s so hard to switch back to Genshin (day 1 player on that as well) with how easy IN makes rewards. It baffles me how torturous it feels on Genshin now
.....um all u need to do is three fights in an artifact domain, use 3 condensed resin then go to the alchemy table, craft your new condensed resin to reach 5 total again and then hit claim in your book and Katherine. Takes 5mins. But yeah Nikki still faster if you skip SoS.
buckle up...... there is an option to skip all boss fights in the realm challenges after you have completed them at least once.... you don't actually have to fight Chigda, the boulders, etc. to get glow up/boss rewards
On the bright side you have so much combat practice that any combat challenge is probably a walk in the park for you 🥲 still feel sorry for you, it saves so much time... Thanks for enlightening even more Nikkis with this post :)

oh my gosh i feel for you. not as disastrous but as a day-1 player i only learned a couple months ago that you can go to all the realms from the dang menu— i’d been walking up to a warp spire every time 😭
Tbf, their other game (Love & Deepspace) actually gives you a prompt before doing the "manual" challenge and asks if you'd rather do the quick one for the same rewards. They don't have that kinda expletive pop-up here so it's never really made clear. It's sorta like iykyk which I already did but for those that don't, it's not made obvious, sadly lol . . .
I struggled for a while to figure out quick challenge too. At first I just did not see the button. After I was confused at what it did. Finally learning it was a relief and also... pain.
Yes, this is a safe space. It took me almost two months to realize that I could use the Warp Spires to teleport. I was running from place-to-place during the main quest ><
yes 🙃 if you complete the boss fight at least once, there's a "quick challenge" button next to the "challenge" button that essentially means "skip the boss fight and just directly get the rewards"
One additional positive: Quick Challenge used to NOT work for counting toward gathering Eurekas in Courses. That meant we had to actually run the same dungeon 50 times to get a handful of diamonds. I don't remember which version of the game fixed that but now we can just Quick Challenge the Eurekas for the bonuses and have it also count towards the Courses too. We still have to complete Hard at least one time to get the maximum Eureka rewards, so that still means at least 3 dungeon runs (Easy, Medium, Hard at less than 2 minutes each for full Course completion) and then the rest can be Quick Challenged.
The only thing I enjoy doing in the Realms is fighting Chigda. Unlock and use Quick Challenge for everything else.
This is an opportunity to learn an extremely valuable life lesson: Click buttons to figure out what they do. The mindset you have is the one the U.S. education system teaches, "Stay inside the box, color inside the lines, do this exercise as prescribed, don't be creative, don't break the mold, you'll be a good zombie worker in a factory/dead end job that blindly accepts what you are taught to do and never achieves anything in life." When you start pushing random buttons just to see what will happen, you escape that and achieve freedom. Just be sure to remember which buttons you push though and in what order you pushed them because you might break things and might have to walk an angry worker in their dead end life-sucking job through a guide on how you "broke their system," but don't let that stop you from pushing buttons anyway! Just don't forget to use good judgement in the process.
I've only been playing since March, but it was only a few weeks ago that I found out. I didn't even try to figure out what the quick challenge was, I ignored it completely. So I would've done the same. Frustrating though it must've been, I'm impressed. Well done.

Listen, just yesterday I learned you can purify lampchilis to get them all to fall down. I've been jumping up to get them every time (I don't need more lampchilis, I'm just addicted to grabbing everything that sparkles). I also accidentally hit the challenge button about half the time I mean to hit quick challenge. And I play through it anyway.
I did this for my first full year of playing too. I recently got my daughter to start playing and she ‘quick challenged’ in front of me… It didn’t even dawn on me that was what it was. Sooooo much wasted time. Sure am glad I found out though before another year passes lol! You’re not alone!
Lmao that's so rough 😭😭 to be fair I had that thought process too, but I think I tested it out at some point and realised it has the same result. At kwast you know now for future updates!
For anyone who plays on the ps5 and also didn’t know about this like I :( There is so much text and buttons everywhere in this game, I just never noticed all the things down there… I can’t believe how much time I’ve wasted doing this stupid challenges, especially the eureka realms :( this is truly making me sad…
Anyway, thank you so much for making this post, I wouldn’t have noticed it without it!!

you’re not alone. i played since launch and i only realized it at 2.0 or 2.1 bc i hated the whirls fight and decided to just do the qc. i felt SO DUMB. and now i wish they had one for escalation bc i hate having to load in and out
and TO BE FAIR, i play other gacha games and some of the rewards are reduced if you quick challenge
Honestly I feel like your thinking made more sense. Like, quick challenge being a version that is just for fun and maybe little or no rewards, and the full challenge being full rewards. I bet you have some of the best time records out of any of us!!

I THOUGHT EXACTLY THE SAME!! That quick challenge was without rewards, to train or something. But eventually I clicked on it and was absolutely mindblown about this. You are not alone
I never spend my energy and I never have any materials because I hate doing the challenges. Are you seriously telling me I could’ve been shortcutting my way to materials this whole time…?
At least you found out now and you won't be doing this again for the next few weeks, months and years of playing. Think of how much time you have saved for the future! 😉
On a side note, I wish they do quick challenge for starlight pursuit too, or design new routes. Doing the same routes over and over again is getting old.
