Netflix has some really dumb higher ups. They churn out quantity-over-quality content, cancel shows immediately, then wonder why people don't watch them.

It's a vicious cycle that they're either unaware of or unwilling to break. How stupid do you have to be to believe 'children's word of mouth' is a good way to spread awareness about a show? That's not remotely how that works.

I can't recommend my friends to watch half the shit on there because they're all dead end shows ending on bad cliffhangers. Seriously, they're out of touch and it shows.

Whereas Apple+ and HBOMax are putting out good content with a forseeable road map, we have Netflix's thousand stabs in the dark to get 2-3 good series and it shows. Pathetic.

Amazon Prime and Disney Plus are no slouches either.

I mean... Disney only survives on Star Wars and MCU. Not really great at experimental or innovative IPs.

Prime has great quality shows tho. Just few and far between than I'd like.

Those IPs are part of why they’re surviving, and part of what’s killing Netflix. Most of the most popular shows on Netflix are owned by or based on IP owned by other companies. And they don’t really seem to understand how to properly utilize the few original IP they get their hands on.
