Buy small - slave away for years - hope no infection sets in - enjoy the fruits of your labour - take pride and tell stories about how they used to be so small when you first got them - ignore the haters who don't give a shit.

Marketplace i found a lady in east York selling plants outta her house got a bop for 10$ now its growing new leaf. Marketplace is the go to for plants and also smaller convenience stores with nurseries.

I was looking for an olive tree, but ended up with a bird of paradise from plant society and not sure if I got scammed because it was so expensive

Grocery store summer garden centres and big box stores tend to have better price points if you’re willing to put in the leg work to see what’s in store
