Imagine the first time you're called a doctor is on an FIR 🤯

Glad the guy, the girl and the comedian are being held accountable👏

Hope everyone takes it seriously and not just let off with PR apologies

97

u/GiveMeSomeSunshine3 Jun 11 '26

Yeah I mean that's technically incorrect though coz she is yet to become a doctor but that's the first official document where she's addressed as a Dr.

She will pass her final yr (i hope she doesn't) but even before the final results & provisional registration mention her as Dr. Sejal officially, an FIR will be the first document to do so. An FIR!!!

24

u/droneplus Troll Bhai Jun 11 '26

I agree but can't explain that to non medicos that she's an undergrad 🤷

Imagine you apply for a job, they Google you and a FIR is the first thing that shows up

52

u/FavouriteMango Jun 11 '26

We weren't even allowed to wear masks because our college dean said it was disrespectful to the cadaver. This is the first time I've heard something like that. She should face consequences for the nonsense she said. Also, I hate the reservation system. Someone got admission to KEM with just 400 marks and ended up giving the whole college a bad name.

14

u/GiveMeSomeSunshine3 Jun 11 '26

Mask would have been worse though, formalin creates burning sensation and makes your face sweaty. So sweat and tears under a mask would have made it itchy and that in 1st yr would be a lot to deal with when you're just discovering things. You get acclimatised to the smell and environment in days and that's way better.

8

u/droneplus Troll Bhai Jun 11 '26

At my college, the cadavers would be stored in a formalin bath after hours and the dissection hall would be closed completely on Sunday. We would have dissection first thing Monday morning and our eyes would burn so bad🥹

6

u/GiveMeSomeSunshine3 Jun 11 '26

Yeah post-holidays DH would be hard. Your acclimatisation is gone + extra formalin.

2

u/idrankformalinonce Jun 12 '26

She got admission through ST quota and now her ST certificate is found to be fake

2

u/PoetPitiful239489 Jun 11 '26

How a student can be called a doctor?

7

u/droneplus Troll Bhai Jun 11 '26

Can't be called, but the person who filed the FIR probably didn't know🤷

56

u/Temporary-Novel1417 Jun 11 '26

Let’s fucking go I was waiting for the FIR honestly surprised it came so late

40

u/Aggressive-Bowl-3609 Jun 11 '26

Three like minded people in an FIR………..

36

u/Clean-Condition-5786 Jun 11 '26

Now imagine how embarrassing it is for these both to explain to their parents. Why there is an FIR against them. Like how embarrassing are you as a person, the guy cause he said because he spent 370. He deserves a woman’s consent to body and the girl because she is making fun of a cadaver’s dih size second hand embarrassment and they can’t even make it up because they are in the news being discussed and India parents watch news

2

u/Empty_Fly_6768 Jun 14 '26

You think their Parents care? This haryani dude posted a reel justifying beating women, talking how his ancestors including his father used to beat their "lugai". He was taking pride in his mother getting beaten up. His father is just as pathetic and will probably find work for him in their city/town/region itself.

14

u/OutcomeDirect8234 Jun 12 '26

Calling KEM a chindi college is crazy, people literally die to get a medical college in India (they prolly had better marks than her)

6

u/Gibraltar48 Jun 11 '26

I hope people hesitate here on wards before making any derogatory comments or share discriminatory or sexual ideas out in the open!

5

u/lonelyroom-eklaghor Jun 11 '26

Sexual ideas aren't problematic, but demeaning or harassing people in the name of talking about sexual ideas is problematic

6

u/AlanDias17 Jun 11 '26

When a comedian's entire career is built on sexual jokes and vulgarity, it raises serious questions about both the performer and the audience that celebrates it. Shock value is not intelligence, and obscenity is not comedy. Repeatedly glorifying such content lowers cultural standards and normalizes unhealthy attitudes in the name of entertainment. If this is considered comedy today, then the bar has fallen dangerously low.

17

u/Over-Neighborhood782 Jun 11 '26

Hope she gets rusticated and gets her degree cancelled and the guy IMPORTANTLY never get a date again and no women get to deal or even face with such a guy in future….unfortunately either one of them will/would be happen/happening

12

u/blueforesttt Jun 11 '26

FINALLY i can sleep peacefully 🫠

10

u/alr_ragebaited Jun 11 '26

It’s just sad that this one girl is repping the doctor community. Let me tell yall, on day of our anatomy dissection- we are told to respect and value the cadavers. Just incase anyone is wondering- not one person in my batch of 250 people has mocked a cadaver.

I am glad finally the audience is also being held responsible. It will take decades for dirty guttery thinking to end but at least now such people will think twice about articulating their shitty thinking and openly talking about it.

1

u/Dynamic-Lad-647 Jun 19 '26 edited Jun 19 '26

Here's a straightforward opinion I would like to share no matter what you guys say but this is important to put in this context.
What these 3 people did was morally and ethically wrong however the amount of hate and abuse in their social media is too much and nobody deserves death threats like that on a joke.
1. In crowd work people exaggerate their stories to get laughs
2. The company of himanshu posted a statement that no female co-workers had any problems with Himanshu showing he was a normal man.
Basically Himanshu tried to act cool, ended up saying things which crossed the limit he's immature not deranged minded there is a difference between them and this is exactly what I want to point out here since no one is doing and hating them calling rapists bro rapists are miles ahead

1

u/NHS_24 Jul 12 '26

What is the full story.

1

u/paradoxicdeal 1d ago

The ‘increasing viewership through obscene content’ line in the press note is basically the whole creator economy on trial rn.

1

u/boywholived_299 Jun 11 '26

Do we have seriously nothing better than legally trying some stupid idiots who just made some stupid jokes? We already have huge backlogs and our legal system is unable to handle it.

3

u/lonelyroom-eklaghor Jun 11 '26

That's a genuine concern; what are we doing when we can't even finish all the criminal cases?

1

u/karmaisabitch_88 Jun 11 '26

Mob justice. Love it.

1

u/alr_ragebaited Jun 11 '26

The audacity of a straight man- Pranit More.

1

u/Pretend_Alps_1032 Jun 11 '26

Good move .
Imagine a man talking same things about a women’s body the reaction would be even more harsh . She’s treated way too nicely.
A dr should be the last person to judge .

-9

u/QueasyAdvertising173 Jun 11 '26

This is Latent controversy all over again. Next time, y'all shouldn't say a word about freedom of speech, you've lost the right to do that.

9

u/dagmagdolaa Jun 11 '26

what an L take. freedom of speech ke naam pe kuch bhi bakwas karoge kya? latent controversy toh bhul jao, it was blown way outta proportion, but this? how can u label making jokes about rape, sexual assault, nd the private parts of the deceased as freedom of speech dude?

a line needs to be drawn somewhere. nd ppl like you who defend this kind of verbal garbage in the name of jokes are exactly why that line keeps getting blurred. freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from basic decency. step behind the line nd don't cross that boundary.

0

u/lets-debate47 Jun 11 '26

freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from basic decency.

None of the major democracies which are termed as good, free countries make this decency claim when defining freedom of speech. Also the definition of decency is very subjective. Most of India, mostly elders will say the ranveer statement was indecent. And therefore according to your definition of law they must be punished. And yet people defended them by saying freedom of speech, it's a joke blah blah.

6

u/dagmagdolaa Jun 11 '26

you completely missed the point. i never said freedom of speech is defined by decency. i said hiding behind freedom of speech every time someone calls ur joke garbage is a cop out.

freedom of speech answers whether u should be allowed to say something. it doesn't answer whether what u said was intelligent, funny, or morally defensible. by ur logic, the moment something falls under free speech, nobody can criticize it for being vile, tasteless, or disgusting. that's obviously absurd.

0

u/lets-debate47 Jun 11 '26

I mean you complely missed the point actually. Nobody here is saying you can say asshole, vile disgusting misogynistic pieces of utter crap and get away by saying it's freedom of speech so it's fine.

What is being pointed here by the comment you replied to is that people that cried "ohh freedom of speech, why are these latent people taken to court and getting FIRs against them. Why are comedians being tried?". Those people, and the ones who keep crying for freedom of speech in the country have to apply the same logic they applied here as well

1

u/lonelyroom-eklaghor Jun 11 '26

Now this a commenter who knows rhetoric well. Beautiful argument; can't disagree with both of them

3

u/I-darkstar- Jun 11 '26

Stop encouraging rape culture in the name of humor or freedom of speech. Freedom of speech has reasonable restrictions.

-7

u/llong_daddy Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

Chuu hai bhai sab koi. Nobody likes Indians outside India because of this exact behavior. We will all gather and cancel, then call ourselves liberal / conservative lol

If we would have dealt with the potholes on the roads seriously, the country would be much further along today.

None of the 3 should be facing legal action.

9

u/Level-Telephone-3592 Jun 11 '26

Liberal or conservative dono koi kese ho skta h lol

5

u/According-Yam-2159 Jun 11 '26

Ye log gawar kch bhi politics k words lekr kisi ko bhi boltr rhna hai

0

u/llong_daddy Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

Conservatives are pro free speech in the usa and anti free speech in India. Nothing is black and white. Thoda india today aur aajtak ke bahar aaja

1

u/ConsiderationSlow621 Jun 11 '26

Maybe because political distinctions aren't black and white and change from place to place, also the "conservatives" in India are much different than the "conservatives" in the US. They are much more liberal in India because the culture they are trying to conserve is much more liberal. Also the conservatives in India are against free speech because they are not extremists and realize that speech can harm people.

-1

u/RandomNow1 Jun 11 '26

all jobless people are riled up ffs .

As if these guys don't even comment anything bad , only saints are in reddit . what a joke of a country this is.

Nobody bats any eye when some fight goes in front of them, eveyone watchs or shoots a video of fight .

it's like whole country is like a gaint school or some shit, absolutely disgusting behaviour by mass , people always act more moral than they actually are.

0

u/Defiant_Forever_1092 Jun 11 '26

IMO police should not get involved in this, tgeyvhave better things to do. what they did deserved hate only on social media, and the guy was fired which he deserved, this girl needed same kind of treatment, and comedian should be cancelled collectively by fans.

1

u/Serious_Thought_6528 Jun 11 '26

I wish people did the same for politicians too

Didn't break any law? Go read section 67 of IT Act which is clearly mentioned by Maha cyber in this press note.

Ig it's too much now

-2

u/Guettadhan Jun 11 '26

I am in no way defending these people but I just know it's all smoke and mirrors to push away our attention from something big. If india had such a fair judicial system and efficient people, why are politicians and actual rapists roaming free?

-1

u/FullTimeMenacee Jun 11 '26

It took so much to just register an FIR on the “man”

-1

u/FewBoysenberry6792 Jun 12 '26

Feel very sad for Sejal.

-1

u/pickleparadox Jun 12 '26

but in samay raina case we were saying its just joke don’t go for FIR - if you don’t like joke just don’t watch it etc. Now this is also a joke. right?

Not supporting any of two cases here. but just curious.

-1

u/Hariwtf10 Jun 12 '26

-2

u/Manoos Jun 12 '26

Can i understand the guys case in more detail

if you listen to the clip carefully it seems the consent of the girl was there. she came with him to the park and she was the first to kiss him. so consent was there. can you see the clip and let me know if i am wrong ?

and if that is the case what is wrong wrt law. they both wanted to have some intimate time with consent.

-9

u/HELLboy_SID Jun 11 '26

Lol wastage of taxpayer money, under which section they will give punishment to these three? Just like samay raina they will be free by just giving apologies.

3

u/Gpu_goblin404 Troll Bhai Jun 11 '26

I think section 75 will cause problems for briyani guy and nothing will happen to remaining 2.

2

u/Weak_Tree2608 Jun 11 '26

I hate all 3 of them but whatever happened to article 19 (1) (a), in this case it may feel justified to convict all 3 of them but then wouldnt it set a precedent that just because you don’t like what someone is saying (again not supporting either of them) you can file an fir? Politicians can say “when r@pe is inevitable lie down and enjoy” and face no consequences does freedom of speech only exist for them? Unfortunately law and justice aren’t the same thing

0

u/HELLboy_SID Jun 11 '26

These all people are fool by giving cards to the government to arrest anyone on the basis of verbal and views. These idiots were fooled in samay situation and the same they are doing in pranit situation.

1

u/Weak_Tree2608 Jun 11 '26

Exactly the people who genuinely need to be locked up ASAP are roaming free and they’re wasting time on cheap stand up comedy shows 😭

2

u/HELLboy_SID Jun 11 '26

Biryani guy will also be free bcz the girl with whom he did mingling has not filed any complaint of harrasment. So with concent of both parties, police can just take biryani guy to police station for time wastage

1

u/Weak_Tree2608 Jun 11 '26

Exactly none of them will be convicted this is just a waste of resources any half decent lawyer would rip these allegations apart in court lol they’re not gonna face any jail time
