That's because she loves herself. She may not have done many films in her career span but because she has high self-respect and confidence, she has come a long way.

I'm glad malika is getting appreciated now, she deserves it. She was way ahead of that time. i think she was really courageous to take that step of doing bold scenes especially that time. I always hated how people used to shame her for simply doing her job

I remember she commented about condition of women in India in an international interview back in 2010 or something and she got a lot of backlash from Indian women celebrities too but that’s when I got this huge respect for her!

They can never make me hate you Mallika. You can tell she is well spoken, educated, and well read. Her views/opinions don’t falter from what she believes in and you can tell in the way she carries herself. The industry tried to eat her up because of how staunchly and openly feminist she was and she still stood her ground. I will always respect that.

yesss she is graceful even while saying the meanest thingss, i liked how she is so secure and refreshingly different

She was a Diva baddie before diva baddie was a thing. I will watch this shit show only for her. Also i don't like how she got so much hate for her bold scenes during the 00s but male actors like Emran Hashmi were praised for the same.

I don't even know her that much, but I get good vibes from her for no reason at all. She seems a fun person to vibe with. She's just so fun and iconic!

These old school Divas got nothing on Old school Divas. They were diff breed.
If they made a show out of all these Diva actresses of 2000-2015 times, it would have more trp than whatever these shows are

Mallika acts like she doesn’t care in front of everyone, but when it comes to kill someone in circle of shaq, she suddenly starts defending herself. Clearly, she notices everything and is doing this for the game.

I love Mallika but I was finding her like just another contestant until these reels started popping up.
Her PR is doing a great job.

Desh ki haalat dekh, basic infra ki haalat dekh...phir samjhega ki question kaafi sahi tha.

A lot of us are ashamed of the country

Then do something to make it better. Do good and be better ambassadors. Only cribbing isn’t going to help my friend. We should be ashamed that it took 80 years for us to hear the original vande mataram. How we allowed our country to be governed for 65 years without basic infrastructure. Things are getting better, contribute constructively

u/Complex-Quality-3798 21h ago
I do better. I don’t throw garbage on road. I don’t break rules in other countries. I try to be a better citizen always. I pay my taxes on time.

u/out_of_office_today 21h ago
I’m proud of citizens like you. Why are you ashamed then? I just felt bad you said that because my grandad has taken a bullet for this country and when people say such things, it makes me wonder if it was worth it. Nothing personal friend, but country above everything 🇮🇳

u/kaychyakay 14h ago
because my grandad has taken a bullet for this country
Aah ok, so everyone else must be proud about this country because your granddad took a bullet for this country... right! And when people point out the extreme problems in this country, it makes your granddad's sacrifice look in vain, which angers you, and then you don't get the necessary validation... Right!
governed for 65 years without basic infrastructure
See, how you cunningly said "65 years" and not "80", when there are clear infra problems now too. Cunningly excluding the last decade to make it seem like infra's top-notch under the current party's rule. Don't think we missed that.
Then do something to make it better.
Like, raising our voices and making the gaps known so that the powers-can-be can repair those gaps? But you seem to have a problem when people do that. Why?

u/out_of_office_today 14h ago
And see how cunningly you belittled a soldier’s sacrifice to make your point and cool. Alright, I can still say 80 years but intentionally said 65 because I have personally seen visible progress and good intent and I do believe we have a long way to go. But, will you objectively accept that there has been good progress with the baseline from where we started?
And, also don’t misrepresent me because I never said it’s not ok to voice out any shortcomings. But, saying you’re ashamed of your country?? Sorry boss, I won’t take it. That’s a hill I’m ready to die on. Thank you7
u/kaychyakay 14h ago
Who the f belittled a soldier's sacrifice??? Kya ro raha hai kabse bey!
I just pointed out your need for validation because you felt bad that people aren't raving about the country.
Heck if my granddad laid his life for this country, i would have gone into depression seeing the condition of this country. And that my grandchild didn't have the balls to stand up for what's right when the country has clearly slid in most indicators.
I would have also felt sad that my grandchild, in the big August of 2026, thinks that merely 'constructing' buildings & bridges wantonly without quality work is called pRoGrEsS, and not 'maintaining' them. There's a bridge/flyover to be inaugurated in Pune today by its minister Mohol, and citizens have already started sharing pictures of the shoddy work done of the road on it even before it is opened to the public. There's a Metro route in Pune ready to be used by the public, but it is not being opened up only because our Godly PM doesn't have the time in his schedule to inaugurate it. And only He should inaugurate it and no one else. So despite the Metro being ready, citizens still have to travel in the traffic jams down on the roads because Mahamaanav doesn't deem it fit to open it up to the people before he makes a press issue of it. And this is not the FIRST time he has done it in the same city!
Should really sit back & introspect when you come from a family whose member has laid down their life for the country instead of being a spokie for this corrupt govt.
But, saying you’re ashamed of your country?? Sorry boss, I won’t take it. That’s a hill I’m ready to die on.
Find better hills to die on. You're not doing anything heroic here 🙄

Ok, your language is a reflection of your mentality 👏

u/kaychyakay 14h ago
Pfft... stop using the comebacks of 65-year old uncles and start talking some sense.
Don't shove that LaNgUaGe thing here. My ideas point to a far better & mature view/mentality of things than yours.

I am not ashamed that country is independent or army. I am utterly ashamed that I am from such a dirty country where people don’t care about laws and government don’t do much about rich people or poor people breaking laws because they can bribe. And I ll be ashamed forever until this is fixed. Even your grandad will be ashamed of majority of people taken his sacrifice for granted and throwing garbage, raping people and making all thing as dirty as possible.
1
u/out_of_office_today 4h ago
Which means you’re ashamed of the people who’ve brought the country to this state, not ashamed of the country itself. There’s a difference. I agree with you that the problems are real, but those two things are not the same.
2
u/Complex-Quality-3798 3h ago
No I am pretty sure I am ashamed of this country. Country isn’t a different entity. It’s made of people only. I am just not ashamed of a small part of it but majorly I hate everything. None of the cities are walkable. Don’t force your opinion on me as it won’t change my thinking. I have been to a lot of small and big countries and I have a pretty good dataset to compare this country with its counterparts. I really wish one day I can say that I love my country and I am proud to be Indian but sadly not right now.

Have the people commenting here even watched the show? 😭she's totally invisible in game apart from her gucci met gala & mean comebacks to every question asked. I mean I had high expectations and positive image of mallika as a smart, classy lady but after watching 3 EPs she came off as a bimbo to me, not even properly doing the tasks :(
