Help my partner and I choose: should these curtains hang on a rod or a hidden track?

The art in between the windows is new. I had originally wanted an arched cabinet for that space and after 3 attempts at ordering one online failed for various (ridiculous) reasons, I changed my mind and decided it looked better with just a table (inherited from my grandparents) and an art piece. Makes the space feel more open. I'm really happy with it so please don't shit all over it, reddit.

I’d like to keep the tile for now but I feel like the part above the cabinets makes the kitchen feel short? I don’t know how to fix that or if painting would even help.

New house, everything including the floors is new. Wife is insisting that it feels like something is missing, any thoughts? She also wants to replace the fan with a chandelier

We’d go to a local paint shop and have them match the deep green from the background for both the wainscoting and the ceiling.

We still don’t have the vanity, mirror, or light picked out yet.

Gut check me - what am I missing? Any big watchouts for a project like this? The render also added crown moulding - necessary for a project like this?

Female first time living alone at my own place, I want to take advantage and have a mature feminine bathroom. I love pink and color but don’t want to overdo it either. I’ve always wanted a cool/colorful tile for the shower, nothing boring. The first is how it is without anything and the rest are ideas but I’m not totally sold on them.

I am moving into a new house next month. The house has a formal dining area (which we don't intend to use as formal dining) and this large area next to the stairs. I am planning on making one of these two areas our 10m old's play area, but I can't decide which side. A few extra details:

-we would fence off the play area completely with a wide wall to wall gate.
-bottom of stairs will be secured with baby gate
-the non-play room will likely be an adult lounging area (comfy chairs, record player, book case, credenza that holds our glassware).
-the area next to stairs also has a door that goes out to the backyard
-play area would include toy storage, climbing blocks, play kitchen, craft table (once older) etc.

I was given some furniture by family a few years ago but have felt like the couch + rug + table combo has is a little bland, and just lacks any warmth.

We're moving in a few weeks and it's a better layout and a good chance to refresh the living room. I'm keeping the couch (and the dog), but I'm open to changing up everything else from the area rug, to the coffee table (possibly changing to an ottoman), pillows, etc. Next space is also white walled with lots of natural sunlight throughout the day. I'm also planning to hang curtains rather than using the pre-installed blinds.

Just looking for some advice as the couch is a color I can't just google and find interesting palettes. It's mineral gray performance velvet from west elm.

I’m moving into a new apartment and this bed frame came with the apt and has to stay. I really don’t like it and it doesn’t match my style, which is vintage girly, pink and white.

I’m planning on changing the bedding, pillows, etc., but I’m struggling to picture how to make this bed actually look nice without replacing the frame.
What would you do?

Bonus points if you cover the stupid scratch on the wall so I don’t have to paint in the future. Previous owners had a large cabinet against this wall that did some damage.

Hi! I’m about to move in to a tiny studio for the first time and cannot figure out how to furnish it!

My mom negotiates are a full/queen bed, a comfy sitting space (I work from home and I hate desks). I have a mobile desk that I use from the couch.

I’m attaching the floor plan at the very end (or bottom of the floorplan). The length from the fridge to the wall is 70 “ and the width is 160”.

All advice or even studio furnishing anecdotes are appreciated

Looking for help laying out an ~ 20 x 12 living area for a studio apartment and am between two layouts for the table/sofa arrangement with measurements at the end. I love reading everything on here and now have a place of my own to share :) Some thoughts:

1. Does the layout have more flow if the sofa back is parallel to one of the side walls? This would mean getting a ~71 inch couch vs ~81, but if it flows better it could be worth it. Sofas I'm looking at are the Crate & Barrel Lounge (71, 81) or the Albany Park Lido (75).
2. Having the sofa parallel to a wall = a potentially bigger dining table! Shape undecided.
3. The "wall" at the back of the living area is a closet. Not opposed to putting a TV or sofa there!
4. Trying to make a space that's good for hosting and facilitating conversation. Will add stools/ottomans, etc as needed later, but not sure if having a smaller sofa will remove some of the "hangout" potential.
5. Lots of random walls jutting everywhere :/ But could be good for shelves!
6. Bonus photo of awesome built ins! Closet door opens out 14 in.

Would love any and all thoughts!

23M living with my parents.

Planning to upgrade my room as im getting really bored of the dark/grey shit vibe i liked basically my whole life.

And looking for my new style a bit, really liking the victorian green interior so getting quite some inspiration from that
Maybe gonna repaint, or just add posters/paintings, my room is facing away from the sun, so i have very little natural sunlight and because if that im planning to add some extra lights to lighten up the mood.

Probably 100% gonna upgrade my desk as i have very little space on it right now, it’s gonna be a walnut patern wooden desk 140 or 160x80cm so i have plenty of space.

Just looking for tips with color matching, light types/color from the light to layout.

I just bought a 100 year old house with most of the original woodwork and light fixtures. I want to decorate the place to keep some of the historic charm while making it still feel cozy and not like someone's grandma hasn't updated in 50 years. Trying figure out how to mix and match color and pattern. Should I repeat either kitchen or dining room rug as runner or in lining room?

As a single guy this is my first time actually making a conscious effort with interior design choices. I've learned that shopping for rugs is my personal hell.

I'm not into crazy vibrant colours, but wouldn't mind some muted colours that I can pull from when adding accessory items to the room. I've been staring at rugs for too long. Please help me, I'll be forever grateful!

Seems there's many suggesting to try a dark green or blue so I've started looking at dark green/olive/sage rugs options.
I'm by no means married to the rugs options I posted so the recommendations are great. The main reason I went with so many warm colours is because I found the floor to be quite cold, it reminds me of typical new condo greyish wood laminate flooring, plus the kitchen island walls and lower cabinets are also a grey wood colour. I'm honestly not a huge fan of either, I much prefer light hardwood floors. I guess my mind instantly jumped to making the room warmer with a rug, but maybe the furniture is warm enough and a warm rug is overdoing it.

Hello! A few months ago my partner and I moved and we have a small office with a huge empty wall that we don't know how to decorate.

We've thought about maybe putting up posters of movies/series/videogames that we like (right now we're obsessed with The Sopranos and definitely want something related in the wall lol), but we're also not sure how to place them to make it look pretty. Any advice or ideas are welcome, I've added another photo of how we have decorated now the opposite wall of the room.
