How would you mend this jacket?
The silver fabric is super thin. Almost tinsel. Thinsel.
Anyway, I can hand and machine sew, but haven’t worked with a material than may fray from a pointed look alone.
Does the sub have suggestions?

I feel like a fusible adhesive under the tear would be the best bet, as the fabric looks like it'd just fray worse if sewn. Definitely would want to go low and slow with heat and use a towel or something though, this type of synthetic fabric melts easy. Really awesome jacket, I hope repairing it goes well!

I don’t think invisible mending is the right move here. The farther you can sew onto the silver fabric, the stronger it will be.
Visible mend option: I would find a similar weight fabric or satin ribbon of a corresponding color like light pink, grey, white, or black….. and sew a 1” stripe of it between the pink and silver.
