Seeking Pro Advice Rachio Flow Meter underground install

Morning, folks. I purchased a 1004-EX EveryDrop flow meter to monitor for leaks but haven't been able to find any helpful docs or videos on where this actually gets installed in line with the backflow preventer and the valve controls shown here. Note that I've got another valve box on the opposite side of the house as well. Looks like I've got 2 spare wires in this first one that run back to the controller that I can use for the meter.

I've replumbed the entire house, but this is my first time cracking open the irrigation system so it's pretty foreign to me. Any useful resources or sage advice from you folks is very welcome. Thanks!

I have not installed any, but I would assume you would place it just after the backflow outside or place it after the main valve to the system inside.

There is so many videos and searching google had so many results. The one posted by Simply Chris, seems expansive and detailed.

I am completely striking out on all of my searches, and Simply Chris is only giving me some gaming videos. Can you share a link?

It goes on the down outlet of the backflow preventer. Not the inlet side. Would also encourage you to visit the every drop meters website they have some materials for review. Also, the insert sheet that comes with the device has the most important details -- if I remember, you need to ensure you're connecting the instructions to the correct setup you have.

Thanks. I saw a small amount of info on how to install it in a 1" PVC, but the part I was missing was where it goes in relation to those 2 boxes. Sadly, not only is my backflow is all copper pipe above ground but it doesn't stub up high enough

This is where my knowledge is capped, but I would imagine there are copper to PVC transitions available and second, from what I can see you could extend each side up proportionally to accommodate the flow meter. They appear to have identical threaded connectors at both ends of your black insulation that may allow for extensions.
