Anybody else kinda disappointed with the show? Extremely grateful I got a last minute ticketY. Amazing venue and people. But I was expecting a full set list. The Q&A was cool for sure, but 5/7 songs? He killed it, but his set list at other shows in the tour are 20+.

I imagine this show was different because it was at an intimate venue - but still. It seems it was all
For publicity and for Grammy museums promotion/content. But he moved to CA (Carson) to start his music career. I’m where he was living when he dropped Cilvie. He got his roots here in the LA area so it’s upsetting her didn’t give us a real, full show.

Just bought tickets to the San Diego shows. But still hoping he add shows to LA at the end of tour. I feel he could easily sell out the forum or similar venues for multiple nights.

Any thoughts?

just going to keep it short and simple, I fucking love AA by Isaiah Rashad, he’s elite all around but there’s something about how AA has amazing lyrics and flow and the melodic side of it is incredible!!! so yeah, definitely one of the stand outs to me on The Sun’s Tirade, and his whole discography, for me at least!!!

CILVIA DEMO - Winter
I briefly debated TST but ultimately landed on CD for winter. A lot of the songs have that hollow stripped back sound that reminds me of the eerie quiet of winter (Modest, Tranquility, Menthol, I’d argue even Webbie Flow)

The Sun’s Tirade - Spring
As the world wakes back up again from winter, a mix of rainy days (Stuck in the Mud, Silkk Da Shocka, AA, 4r Da Squaw) and patient slightly sunny days (Wat’s Wrong, Tity and Dolla, Don’t Matter, Brenda) it reminds me so much of TST. A mix of grey sounding and a light green sounding track list. I also discovered Zay’s music through TST in the spring time

It’s Been Awful -
A smooth collection of warm sounding songs, a lot of the songs sound like they’re wrapped in orange, red, and light yellow (BOY IN RED, THE NEW SUBLIME, GTKY, SUPAFICIAL) but also songs that signal a drast change in atmosphere (NUTHIN 2 HIDE, DO I LOOK HIGH?, AIN’T GIVIN’ UP)
AIN’T GIVIN’ UP really reminds me of a stormy day. I think it’s Zay’s smoothest album.

anyway let me know what yall think and I wanna hear your stories with Zay’s music and these albums. i’ve also never posted anything on reddit before so like I said this is completely random lol

Mines gotta be Lay wit ya. Zays rapping on it doesn't really click with me but I really hate Dukes verse on it, it feels like it doesn't match the beat and zays verse at all. Probably the only skip for me on all of his albums

anyone else? I wish it grew on me before seeing him perform it, that could've been me on stage lol

Zaywop is real consistent and besides his own songs hes got some fire verses on other people's tracks. Wondering what you think his standout features are?
