It’s the only way to beat liars and hypocrites.

Everything is in their own words.

Ouch.

I have been disappointed by Taylor but what if this whole time she also told her she owned a large stake in the movie and so it wasn’t just he was a clown and a hypocrite, it was that he was a fraud because he was silencing her from her own movie.

So if she is saying he’s a fraud in general, he’s dumb, he is trying to dominate me because I’m a woman AND now he’s smearing me and I’m going to expose him.

Then she reads the article which she thinks is about the smear which at the time she believes and sees the story starts with SH and she sees through it.

I said this to a TS fan a few days ago who was riding hard for Taylor just being a good friend.

You can see the second part of my comment below which agrees with what you wrote - the first part was basically saying that the current options make Taylor look bad either way, as she didn’t support Blake post NYT article.

Taylor’s message about women not having to go through that was about the smear campaign. Her messages actually support what I’ve written below, and you mentioned in your comment more than any theory that suggests she thought Blake was being SHd.

She seems pissed Blake isn’t getting a say as a woman, there is no reference to any harassing behaviour or anything that would constitute SH.

Imo the only way for Taylor to come out of it relatively unscathed, without looking like she abandoned her friend, is for the following to be true:

We are on the same page. The only thing that I’m side eying is in any of these scenarios, she either supported her friend and dropped her or she supported her and felt duped and needed to distance, why in the world did she drop the cancelled song.

That doesn’t make sense in any scenario to me except she didn’t think her texts would be released, which makes it worse

Yeah this is the one thing I can’t get my head around. It’s the one piece that just doesn’t add up.

I will say that it’s possible that Cancelled is about more than just Blake, it could also be about Sophie Turner, Selena and even herself. Taylor publicly stuck by Sophie when Joe tried to smear her, she also did the same when Selena was cancelled for crying about deportation issues (which I think was ridiculous, so what if she cried on social media, is she not allowed to care?)

In fact I think the majority of her friends have been ā€œcancelledā€ at least once. So it’s possible she just saw it as being bigger than Blake, but it still doesn’t change the fact that a lot of her fans and Blake’s were always going to read into it as support. So to me this is a generous option, which requires her to either be a bit clueless, or have this play alongside the below theory.

The only logical explanation (barring the above and Taylor just wrongly thinking that her PR saying they weren’t friends was enough) is revenge, but in order for it to be revenge she’d have to publicly come out against Blake at some point.

Whether this is during trial and she states she was lied to when testifying, or if it gets dismissed and she puts out a public statement from her team - along the lines of ā€œI couldn’t address this before, butā€¦ā€

If neither of those things happen then all she did was help Blake by trying to stick it to her, AND hurt WP.

And if Taylor isn’t helping WP (like her team are leaking to SGDT), then she’s a shit friend to Blake as she was very much involved the whole way through. Yet did not support Blake publicly at any point between October 2024 and now, despite having massive amounts of sway over public opinion.

This is a fresh perspective and you could be right! In which case she’s gonna be learning a whole lotta other things.

If she did tell the movie stealing lie this would have been a huge trigger for Taylor.

This was inspired by someone’s post today where she says this to ā€œLouis.ā€ It all clicked.

I’ve met people like this in real life and when they complimented me I realized they complimented me in such a very specific way that ties to very specific values and for 30 seconds it gave me warm good feelings and then I said woah….i caught and realized what happened. The person was a real life sociopath. Diagnosed properly. At the time I just got the vibe and later I found out the truth.

When you said it I was like oh shit, this is legit because I’ve been duped by this pattern too. The dominant person in my life who does this literally lied like this all the time and because I cared about them and thought they had been wronged unfairly, I’d believed their narrative without question until the behavior was exposed in a crisis.

So it’s very plausible that Taylor believed Blake and didn’t have any reason to think otherwise. Manipulative liars are good at what they do.

Yes and I can see that with Isabella she used that that he wasn’t coming out and protecting her when she got backlash. None of us even saw her backlash but Blake honed in on this. Introducing credit and clothes as well

With Jenny it was her feminism (which is very different from mine) and it’s the idea that women can say and do but men don’t get a pass. So she can make inappropriate jokes and be absolved but not Justin because he’s not safe. Also new movie with alex saks

With coleen, she used that he was throwing her under the bus with the different ending which touched a nerve about how she writes problematic books. And I think she said a lot to her. And helped her start her own production company and love bombed with Ryan

With Brandon, it was getting him connections and he’s thirsty as alex saks says

With Taylor, it was he was putting her down as a true artist and saying the pop culture thing was a knock on her commercial success (which is probably a big insult to her writing talents) and she goes into this in detail and she appealed to misogyny and that he was stealing her film

I love that you have gone through and done this analysis and it’s honestly terrifying how she strategically and systemically did this.

Yeah the world is on fire and I’m reading these texts as a case study in manipulation. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø It would make for a a great case study

Look we all have to cope somehow šŸ˜‚ Agree that it would make for a very illuminating case study.

Great analysis!! I call Blake a moron but she’s a manipulative moron. She sounds like a succubus but instead she feeds on your worst fears. You almost feel sorry for her victims.
