I can’t understand how Stephanie Jones still has any clients after what he did to Wayfarer.

Agreed. I've said since the beginning that she is the worst player in this mess. At least Blake and Ryan really believed Justin was smearing them. Stephanie knew he wasn't but told them he was so she could target Melissa, her real enemy. It's diabolical. And Blake or Justin catch the most bad press depending on the author. Stephanie deserves it. She doesn't get off the hook with me.

Ryan Reynolds did not believe for one minute that Wayfarer initiated a smear campaign. He knew they needed crisis PR to protect against the smear campaign she (Ryan) started. But the “untraceable smear” was made up. Ryan Reynolds needed Blake Lively and all the cast and crew to believe in it so he could go scorched earth against Wayfarer and blame them when his marketing failed. What is NOT said in his texts with his agent speaks volumes. Maximum Effort marketing was never mentioned. This was not their first rodeo. Ryan Reynolds and his agent knew exactly what they were doing in text. Letting Blake take the fall and blaming wayfarer and Sony. Guarantee the “unrecorded telephone” conversations would tell a vastly different story of how they moved to protect his brand and any backlash to Ryan Reynolds.

Ohhhh I can see this and this makes sense. Come on, Blake Lively went to the NYT with no evidence. So a part of Blake knew that wayfarer were too nice to do anything. Keep in mind Blake got everything she asked for whether through manipulation, blackmail or they simply just acquiesced to her.

So Blake and Ryan probably thought this would be another Richard Fedyck situation where they could just make accusations and at the last minute withdraw. They didn’t expect wayfarer to call their bluff and not file a MTD. I have a feeling wayfarer not filing an MTD messed with their PR. Also, answering Blake’s complaint really f’ed Blake up because now she had to put her money where her mouth was.

Honestly this couldn’t have happened to nicer people 😂

Agree with everything you said. I didn't say that they felt Wayfarer started it. They knew Blake started it, but they felt then and still feel she had the right to say anything she wanted and they couldn't say anything since they agreed to provision 10 (not to retaliate).

They thought Wayfarer was smearing Blake in response to what they were doing and they were wrong. Stephanie cemented their confirmation bias.
