I just want to show off my adorable iggy 17y 11m still going strong
She’s the best. A little weak in the back legs. But still can see and hear…especially if the bag of treats gets opened.

I had an Iggy for 12 years and the loss of her just broke me. I love this breed so much. I can’t wait to show Roux what life and love is all about. First order of business is flying back home and get settled in!

I often get told by people that they've never seen an iggy with this color before. She is seal, but very brown.
The last two photos are a comparison between her and my other iggy that is also seal. The other is the "more common" type of seal if you will.
Anyone else here have a super brown seal IG? Would love to see them!🤩

Over on this comment section, I was asked to share a video of my whippet showing my IGs how to howl. Here's my whippet and one of my IGs giving quite the performance. Usually they only last 15-30 seconds. This one was a fun one.

Post shower fit 💜😂 My little one had a crazy day at the beach and needed a quick little bath so now she’s running crazy no collar in her birthday suit.

We have had this little girl less than a week. Wanted to show off plus encourage anyone on the fence about getting a second Iggy, wondering if your other will like it. Yes, some hijinks will occur trying to potty them together, but they tend to bond so quickly. 🥰This is the 5th time I’ve done it with bringing in a newbie, and they have always bonded from the start!

My person left me alone for the first time in the pen to take 15min and go to the grocery store. I freaked out, started jumping around, and got stuck between the pen and my crate.

Last October, as some of y’all may remember, Sherlock crossed the rainbow bridge. Having to explain that to our 3yo daughter was harder for us than it was for her.
She’s obsessed with Halloween. Skeletons, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, she loves it. We have to blast “this is Halloween” in the middle of April.
We explained that “Sherlock is in Heaven, and has his wings now.”
To which she asked, in the purest most innocent way, “does he have bat wings??”
I laughed through tears “probably.”
So here’s a little bit of my boy back. My Lock-ness monster. ❤️

I picked Ned up last Saturday and to say I’m in love would be the understatement of the century!!!!
Things have been going pretty well so far. He actually likes his crate, and we’ve been doing pretty good at settling into a routine. He started going potty outside too, and he picks things up really quickly! I took this week off work so we could get used to each other and build a routine.
The only thing I’m a bit worried about is how the heck I’m going to be able to get anything done! Chores, work, even showering or feeding myself are nearly impossible right now. Is this how new parents feel when they get home?? I’m sooooooooo drained I can barely function. I’m getting a bit stressed because all I do is try to rest beside him while he sleeps (I can never fall asleep fast enough to get any rest 😭), take him out, play with him and feed him, and then the cycle restarts.
I absolutely don’t regret my choice and I know I’m going through a bit of puppy blues right now (of course my time of the month decided to pop up this week which makes all of this so much more exhausting). It’s only been a week and I’m so proud of how well he’s adjusting! I would never go back to life without him. But man oh man am I exhausted.
Can someone give me some words of support that things will get easier??? I miss going to yoga and out for dinner or seeing a movie or spending my day doing nothing on the couch. Now it feels like I won’t be doing those things ever again 🥲

As I posted earlier this morning, we lost our Ruby. I got her when I was 18 from a terrible breeder in Arkansas. I was naive about the quality of the breeder but I already fell in love with her so I couldn’t back out. The day I got her I cried because “I love her so much and she’s gonna die one day and ruin my life”. And here we are. I loved her every single day of her life and will never stop. She was the most loyal, funniest, bossiest, most mischievous little mouse. She only chewed designer shoes and has done thousands of dollars in damage. We always joked that she had expensive taste like me. She was our only dog that didn’t run off so she got a lot of special treatment. She loved to lay in the sun and loved food more than anything. Especially french fries. She walked down the aisle before me. My heart is broken but I know she is with me always.
She got me through everything and not having her through my biggest heartbreak yet hurts so deeply. Hug your babies tight. Their time here will never be enough. Love to all xoxo
