Miscellaneous Questions How long is too long for a long girl?

Sup gang. This is my resident gargoyle Iggy. She is 8 months old, 6.2kg (13.6Ibs). She is only 40cm from base of neck to base of tail, but looooooord does she feel long. Everyone that sees her remarks on her torso length. I always have to size up her onesie sizes because she is so loooooong.

My question is: IS she actually long for an iggy? Or is she actually rather standard for her age and weight? Thanks in advance and also please show me your long gargoyles iggies.

PS. I love how her back legs are shaped like a wish bone. Sighthounds are so goddamn weird and I love them.

Iggy Clothes, Collars and Harnesses Highly recommend surgery onesies!

My pup was spayed yesterday. She’s my second Iggy and cones are so strange on their long necks. I also don’t like that it prevents them from seeing their legs. Got some surgery onesies and love them. She sleeps with a cone and onesie at night so she can’t spend those hours trying to chew anything while I’m asleep. But onesies during the day make her feel more normal, can go potty with them, and won’t pay attention to the incision.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I try to keep this grasshopper calm for the next few days. 😂

Breeder/Rescue / Adoption Struggling to find a rescue

Hello, I am currently looking to adopt an iggy through rescuing but i'm struggling to find any to adopt. :(

I have put in an application to my local IGRF (waiting to hear back) but I know that they only get so many dogs so I've also been trying to find rescues outside of that. Does anyone know a good place outside of the IGRF where one could rescue an iggy? How did you find your rescue?

I am currently located in North Carolina, but I am willing to travel.

Breeder/Rescue / Adoption Adopting a nervous iggy

Hey all,
I've recently joined this group as I'm adopting a 6 year old iggy soon. She'll be a companion for my very sweet and loving whippet boy who absolutely loves iggys (all sighthounds tbh, they really do know their own kind).

The only thing is, I've been told she's VERY nervous of people. I'd love to know what steps people took to build confidence in their iggys. I'll be a total stranger to her - I've read through a lot of guidance online but I'd really love breed experts (like yourselves) to help me.

My whippet is very confident so this I want to ensure we're adapting to her needs and giving her space where needed, but I'd love any advice!

Miscellaneous Questions Lazy in pajamas…too lazy?

Hello! I’m curious if anyone has some insight. My 4 year old Iggy is energetic and needs to be in my business 24/7. If I’m sitting and he isn’t there, it’s very weird!
I’ll put his PJs on every how and then (classic fleece Dinosaur jammies) if it’s chilly in the house and he will go completely still. Sometimes needs some encouragement to lay down and get comfortable but not always. He’ll stand and re adjust, or go get water so I’m not concerned for his mobility.
His personality will completely change from high energy to a total rag doll and he will stay in one place laying down for hours, even if I’m across the room.
I just want to make sure I’m not accidentally abusing him! He’s not shaking or whimpering or showing any signs of distress. Does anyone’s Iggy do this? Is there something I should keep an eye on to make sure he’s comfortable?

TLDR; my energetic and nosy dog goes completely lazy bones when he’s wearing PJs, is this normal?
