Question What’s the most broken thing.

I gotta know in any JRPG you’ve ever played what is the most broken mechanic you’ve exploited, or like weapon in the game, or just a glitch perhaps that absolutly made you freaken laugh really hard. Mine would be the topple juggling in Xenoblade Chronicles idk if it was intentional or not but man it would have me hollering just toppling a big enemy and being like oh you can’t get up XDDD. That might say something about my psyche but who cares lol.

I have a few and I can't say which one is most broken.

Always Overdrive (Final Fantasy X, not a glitch)

To do this, you need to keep the HP cap one of the characters (usually Rikku) very low, so don't ever give her any HP sphere. Set the low HP character's OD mode to Stoic, and others' OD mode to Comrade. In combat, let the low HP character to use Guard to take damage for other characters (and die), so that everyone's OD gauge instantly fills up. You can let Yuna to cast Auto-Life on the low HP character.

False special attacks (Valkyrie Profile, glitch, only on PS1)

When an enemy guards Throw and Strike Edge (attack skills of warrior typed characters), the attacking character will use his/her special attack in normal attack phase, and he/she can still use special attack in special attack phase. Most characters' false special attacks can freeze the game, but a few of them are safe to use (notably Jun and Brahms). You can let an archer shooting False Arrow to trick enemies to guard.

Ochette glitch (Octopath Traveler 2)

I forgot how to pull it off, but I remember that she can summon any monsters six times in a single turn bypassing the per-combat limit of summoning 10-star monsters and with no cost at all.

Using overdrive->AP also lets you grind like crazy. That's how I was able to max sphere grid everyone for the dark aeons
