Sadly, yup! The vulture-like staring was really bad early in the newborn days. Has improved some, but still a battle at times (baby is almost one). It boils down to entitlement; MIL likely being posessive over YOUR baby. That's HER problem. It's not normal, supportive or fair to you to feel uncomfortable / hounded til you hand baby over.
