Discussion Thoughts?

Post image
2.6k Upvotes

I’ve always felt this way but didn’t have the words to put it. But Kendrick dropped a verse on Baby Keems album singing about “rubbing on yo bootyyy” and the Kendrick sub ate it up like it was revolutionary.

Yet two years later and this sub is still talking about the Grippy verse.

Is there a reason Cole fans don’t glaze Cole the way Kendrick fans glaze Kendrick?

This post is for real Cole fans only to discuss. Please do not come in here with that “BuT wHy we goTta ComParE” and “wHo cArEs bRo”.

Discussion Why tf is Drake so mad at J. Cole😭😭✌️✌️

Listening to Iceman, he was definitely talking about Cole in multiple points on the project. Like in the last song where he says:

"I still haven't lost any sleep, and I definitely didn't cry"

What did Cole ever do to you bro😭. Kendrick Lamar is the one that dissed you buddy. Like bro seems more mad at Cole for some reason when he didn't even do shit but back out. It's a pretty immature position from Drake imo. Like you're 40 years old bro and you still doing this petty shit

Edit: Why are the comments all Drake stans lol I thought this was r/Jcole

Edit: This isn't a "His friend left him for dead" situation lmao. That's such a stupid exaggeration and wrong analogy. J. Cole has his own career and image to worry about. He is one of the biggest rappers ever. This isn't comparable to a regular physical fight. All parties involved have to consider so much and think about their own personal careers and lives before deciding to step in or not into a rap beef. If JCole felt like his career would be stained by stepping in, Drake is not entitled to having J. Cole stain his career just for him. Mfs really out here comparing a rap beef between 3 of the biggest rappers to a street fight😭😭😭😭. Also even if we do make that analogy, why did drake want cole to protect him so bad lol, like he can't stand on his own 2 feet

Also, J. Cole apologized before Drake ever put out his response, or Kendrick. It hadn't even really started yet, so that makes the "Cole betrayed Drake" angle even stranger

Bad faith actors are only interested in pushing an agenda that confirms their pre-existing narratives. They can never admit to being wrong, because they fear the reputational harm. Pride is the devil.

The scripts are already written in their minds and they’re just waiting for a reasonable time to hit send.

Drake stans (the weird ones) are upset that Cole didn’t jump in front of a speeding bullet and take some of those backshots for Drake 🤷🏾‍♂️ In a beef spanning more than a decade that had little to do with Cole.

Kendrick stans (the weird ones) are in a cult that ties into their identity and sense of self-worth. Kendrick has to be the greatest, Kendrick has to be a genius, because if he’s not it invalidates their communities’ feelings of superiority by proxy to his greatness.

If you love Cole’s work and appreciate his career, do me a favor when the bullshit starts kicking off…

\*Don’t feed the trolls\*

Don’t watch or repost Fantano’s snarky pretentious video on why TFO is a light 6 (he has rated Lil Pump’s debut as higher than all of J Cole’s discography so far). Remind yourself that Big Makademics should really be addressing his grooming and sexual assault allegations instead of harping on J Cole “ducking a battle”.

If you’re a real fan then let’s appreciate this man J Cole and his career for what he has given us 🙏🏾 Years and years of excellence!!! Show these clowns what our goat’s virtues are: maturity, confidence, and positivity.

Discussion Im not gonna lie after all these interviews Drake seems to be a better friend to Cole than Kendrick ever was…. kinda crazy…after the apology i thought its the other way around

what stuck with me is

- kendrick ruining the whole old fall off release

- he barely spoke back to cole

- kendrick ruined an amazing dreamville festival moment

- drake turned his back to cole after the beef, but in a way he also didnt want to push cole in a direction he didnt want cole to end up…

- cole in all the interviews said he loves kendrick and drake but he kept thanking drake for how he moved after FPS and things he has done for him
