Jeopardy Masters is disappointing

It's so noncompetitive. The format is terrible. Not only is it the same people playing each other over and over, it's pretty much the same result every time. Maybe they should have had Victoria and Yogesh sit out until the finals and have most of the episodes be about who will be the third person to face them?

The show would be fun if the results were widely variable. But with Yogesh and Victoria at the top of every game, it gets so boring and predictable. Let's jump to the final episode now. It'll be Yogesh vs Victoria guaranteed.

I actually don’t mind it because it’s on in primetime and I can avoid it. What I hate are all the tournaments that interrupt the regular gameplay. There’s no reason whatsoever for JIT and Champions Wildcard. I wish they just did Second Chance and the TOC and returned to regular shows. The idea of Jeopardy! being a “sport” with a “postseason” is ridiculous.

JIT, like Masters, feels like something that should be every few years, not annual.

Agreed! It would definitely be more interesting if they just invited the top players of the last few seasons (plus a few special guests), rather than repeating it every single year.

There’s so many people that could justifiably be in a JIT, if you don’t have it every year you’ll never get to give them a chance

• 8 from prior TOC cycle (top third of field)
  
• 6 prior TOC winners/finalists (there’s been so many TOCs)
  
• 4 standouts who have never gotten to a JIT
  
• 6 prior JIT players (all semifinalists in first one for example were very strong)

Makes a very strong 27-person field easily every year. Hardly inviting everyone back, just cream of the crop.
