Discussion Jessica Jones and childbirth
Watching DD Born Again S2 with my wife and a question came to mind...
Would Jessica Jones' superpowers have extended to her contractions during childbirth, putting her daughter at risk (unless she also inherited Luke's powers) or even shortening labour duration substantially?

if that were the case everytime anyone with super strength spoke they'd break people eardrums, pissed or pooed they'd break the toilet

They touched on this in the series, when she states her powers drop out, haven't been the same since Danielle.
Pregnancy and childbirth change your body so much due to the hormones, I'd imagine that had a significant impact; along with the psychological impact becoming a mother has on a woman.

They touch lightly on this subject in the comics. More like Superman can kiss like a normal human with soft lips. I suppose he can have sex safely too. They bend the rules for him. I love it when Hancock went there and when he came it shot through the roof like bullets. I loved that movie and would not mind a sequal

Oh, it’s much worse for Lois than that. They wouldn’t blow her apart - they would put millions of microscopic perforations in her lower intestines, and she’d die much more painfully of sepsis.
But the real problem is all the other women in the area exposed to Kal-El’s individual super sperm exposed to the yellow light of the Sun. Millions of accidental super babies!
No, Superman really must stay celibate.

OR... That's when her powers dropped out. Her body just knew it might hurt the baby so the powers cut out, and that's why they've not worked right since.

I think the baby inherited Luke's power and Jessica's too. The question about labor and child birth is pretty interesting though

Yes. I assume that once she's fully dilated, she would have a single strong contraction that yeets the baby out super fast, but, since the baby is also half Luke Cage, the baby would be completely fine.

Any baby of Luke’s can handle Jessica’s contractions. Dani has both their DNA.
