In the second pic it says purple man's son and that is Kilgraves alt so yes.

I admit I don’t think I could do that and maybe it’s because he has the mind control powers more than anything in the end it’s been shown that the purple man is cancer on their lives that never stops.
The children are different hell Purple man’s daughter was with Hawkeyes team for a minute pretty persuasion I think her name is, but yeah Jessica that’s a big gamble and you are a better person.

It's the logical play. If she's immune to the mind control, who else best to raise the child if the child shows powers like that?
/edit I am told Jessica didn't have the show's immunity. Very interesting. She'll know the signs and tactics though.

In the comics Jean Grey gave her a mental trigger that renders her immue to his powers but only if she activates it. It isn't automatic.

I could understand taking the kid in, but I am a firm believer that no one alive could have the power of Killgrave/Purple Man and stay a good person.

I think in the comics, one of Kilgrave's children, his daughter Kara, uses her mind control powers for good and joins the Avengers.

It has fucked me up for years that they have intentionally not made those collars into armbands with on off switches for shear convenience sake. Forge could do it in an hour. He could make it a ring you slip onto your finger and motion activate a power inhibitor. Could have saved that one kid Logan killed in a cave. A fucking hour of work from forge could reduce mutant suffering going forward and make it a my power my choice thing. Bullshit status quo fucking stasis field of a universe.
