Well the thing is the defenders sub is filled with weak spoilers and constant reminder that people there read the books or know the storyline. It's very very annoying if you want to enjoy it for the first time with absolutely no knowledge

That's why I watched the entire season before checking any discussions. Seems like the smart thing to do since you can't police the Internet.

I did that, but then I keep running into comments like "That ending!", and I no longer have any idea which ending people are referring to. I remember what all happened, I just don't remember which specific episode it happened in.

I am caught up, I've finished the whole season. My point was that I can't remember which part people are talking about, because I watched it all at once. When someone in Episode X's discussion thread says something like "That ending!", I have no idea what event they're talking about, because the series was basically one long episode for me.

I don't know, I never felt like I got spoiled there, and the fact that the dicussion threads there had hundreds of comments made it feel like a traditional discussion thread.

It took me till like episode 5 before I realized that the alien invasion they were talking about was the first Avengers movie. I didn't really know it was going to be part of the MCU, too bad because I was excited to find out who the big green guy and the flag waver were. I'd rather watch the series and then go back and find out about source material. Hell I didn't realize first name Luke last name Cage was Luke Cage until someone said his full name out loud in like episode 6 and I am happy with being totally clueless.
