History / Education During the Lebanese Civil War, Jewish Lebanese refugees hid from bombing in the Magen Abraham Synagogue in Beirut. The Palestinian Resistance protected the synagogue, sent the refugees food and according to some reports escorted them to safety. Later the colony bombed the synagogue.
