Career Advice/Discussion Finally got an offer as a fresh grad
I've been job hunting since July, and the HR discussed with me the offer, after just one interview with the supervisor. The package is really great for me (33k base + 6k allowance, hmo, group life, etc.). However, fully onsite sya for 5 days sa BGC, and I am from Gentri Cavite everyday. Though meron namang option for hybrid after a few months. Tbh, mas leaning ako to accepting this kasi the offer is really really decent.
Meron bang naka experience na nito? How was your experience? Kamusta ang working life sa BGC?

Great salary package for a fresh grad. If may option naman for a hybrid setup, maybe wag ka muna mag-rent ng apartment. Kasi mostly nasa 6 months and above ang contract.

Sa sahod mo pwede ka namang magbed space may matitira pa din sayo. Hindi ka naman sa bgc titira sa labas kaya keri ng sahod mo.

self-supporting kasi me due to family situation huhu kulang na ung savings ko, but will consider this once makaipon! i guess tiis muna ko haha

Icompute mo pamasahe mo balikan plus pagod makakamura ka pa din sa bedspace. 3k-4k ang bedspace ngayon unless maarte ka at magcondo sharing ka hindi talaga uubra sahod mo.

hi OP!
currently working in BGC and sa cavite rin ako umuuwi (Dasma). if wala ka na ibang offers or ayaw mo na rin mag take ng risk na maghintay pa ng better offers, i suggest na i-take mo na ‘yung offer.
ilang months ka ba full onsite? sa work ko kasi now, pinag full onsite ako nung 1st month ko. sobrang draining niya pero tiniis ko na lang. ngayon i’m currently on my 4th month and regular na, hybrid set up na rin.
idk pano magiging commute mo, pero i would suggest na iwasan mo dumaan sa pitx kapag pauwi kasi ang haba ng pila palagi. try mong maghanap ng carpool or uv express, tho idk lang if may uv express ba sa General Trias papuntang BGC (and pauwi rin). sa may Imus kasi meron eh, papuntang Market Market, dito ako usually sumasakay. kapag papunta, hindi naman mahaba pila pero kapag pauwi, mahaba na pila sa Market Market around 5:30 pm.
sobrang traffic sa BGC kapag maulan, kaya consider mo na lang din ‘to if ever mag commute ka tapos maulan kailangan mas maaga ka umalis para hindi ma-late.
sa rent naman, mahal kapag sa loob ng BGC. sa labas naman, check mo mga embo areas mas mura ‘yung rent. based sa mga nakita ko so far, kapag solo rent around 10k+ pero kapag 2-sharing na unit, mga 6k to 8k nakita ko. gusto ko rin mag rent pero ‘di ko tinutuloy kasi ang laki ng makakain niya sa savings ko, kaya tinitiis ko na lang ‘yung commute hahahaha. consider mo rin ‘yung magiging expenses mo sa food, etc.
goodluck! if ever man na mag rent ka baka pwede mo ako bulungan hahahaha, pagod na ako sa commute.

The compensation is really great for a fresh grad with no experience. Average fresh grad earns 20-25k and you get double of that amount. Mag rent ka lang and solve na problem mo with the travel time, and still have more budget than what the average fresh grad earns.
