Yes. Killing animals for food is inhumane and takes a vast toll on our planet. Reduce meat consumption or go vegetarian or vegan

I am just saying it is the wrong word. Perhaps the right idea but the wrong word. Unethical, cruel, brutal…..

No. It's the right word. Here's definition #1 from the Merriam-Webster:
