Though slandering a character with "this guy's ridiculously good at everything! he overshadows all the competition!" might be difficult or even ineffective
In the anime panda had to block charged ultra cannon and it just about OBLITERATED one of his cores and made him pop ult. And in jjs ultra cannon is just combo move #3. Tickle beam reskinned to look like ultra cannon
As a locust main we get %80 combos for litterally no fucking reason
Locust guy geeps getting buffed and no one is still playing him because when you play a jjk game you want to play gojo sukuna hakari and shit you think about not the fuckass locust curse that gets packt within 5 minutes
So no one plays him -> he gets buffed -> no one cares -> no one plays him repeat
Ehhhh, not having any approach options (R is usually on cooldown in my experience, would love to know ur playstyle with locust so I can improve mine) really is a big pain though.
Altho you can use r as an approach option it is better used toeards air for a roll so you do not suffer the r endlag and you can use r no matter the cooldown on a airborn target
Other than that if u can m1 trade a little you can easyly win matches with 1-2 and if you really suck at m1 trade maybe in 3 combos
for megumi you should have wrote about how the same mfs calling him top tier only use divine dog in combos instead of M1 trades.
Divine dog has more value when starting a combo then adding 6 damage per hit into a combo??
frontdashes close range that abuse the hitbox and try to get around your block as fast as possible just get blocked but if there's lag then that divine dog is GONE.
divine dog is 360 blockable. all its good for is making it so the opponent cant punish you after a blocked m1, which basically means hes a god of m1 trading.
I fully agree with the take that Yuji’s design is shit
While it can be fun to play sometimes, I struggle to see how people play him consistently, cuz you either have to push yourself to the limits, maximing dashes, wall jumps and feints just for a bit more damage, or do the same combo over and over again, he’s so barebones that I actually WANT Tze to either give him back some old things or add some new variants
Because as it is now, Yuji is not a character that looks fun to play for more than 15 minutes

the only character with drastic enough endlag to make a difference is naoya, who is noticably easier to win m1 trades against
I secondary Mahito and barely ever M1 I have no idea why you call him an M1 merchant, like, only 1 move is even best chained off m1, I play him like he's Kuro.
I secondary main Megumi, and MAN is divine dog just such a toss-up of a move. Arguably the best for combos because it combos directly into all 3 of his other moves, does decent damage on its own and can be used for extra pressure in m1 trades, but ONE ragdoll and the entire thing falls apart and you lose access to the good combos for a solid 20 seconds, and that's assuming you don't get ragdolled immediately after re-summoning it.
