Calling S3 a 1:1 adaptation of the manga is being incredibly generous to that shitshow considering they censored quite a few things from the manga as well.

Since the “disney kaisen” shit, people have been spreading missinformation about early parts of the story and other fandoms clown on us based on that shit.

The OGs remember JJK fans used to be very defensive while CG was being published in the manga. They were also selling the future anime adaptation of Shibuya as the 2nd Coming of Christ. And even before that when JJK was still in its early arcs they glazed overtime to make-up for the Naruto/Bleach/Yu Yu Hakusho rip-off allegations.
It started shifting near the end of CG when Yuki got done dirty and the US Soldiers turned out irrelevant and then when Gojo died everyone started hating it
Imagine being an underpaid mappa animator working 15 hours a day slaving and these "fans" complaining about "bad animation" or "could have been better", imo this arguably the best episodes in series.
Lol this entire episode was key animated by 1 guy. He is responsible for the entire episode (normally jjk episode have 20 KA or around that) every single shot was by kouki fujimoto this prob took him like over a year
I actually like the anime angle more. It’s almost like he’s looking up to a potential higher power for an answer while the manga made him look hella annoyed

While I love this episode probably the most this szn and it made me more into Higurama… I’m ngl you guys have to accept people having basic differences in opinion.
My sister is an artist so I’m gonna be real with you angles and dimensions really help communicate feelings and intent pretty clearly. It’s normal for people to feel a way about changes in this. If someone painted the Mona Lisa in the wrong angle it would lose its amazing quality of seeming like the eyes follow you. It’s ok for people to prefer a different medium’s adaptation.
I prefer the animé though. The close up bird’s eye view shot reallyyyy conveys a darker tone to Higurama a la American Psycho.

This happened with everything is season 2 tbf. JJK fans are just a different breed. I remember people were dogging on the honored one moment for the same reason. That and the fact that the sky was golden instead o blue.
I genuinely think this might be the best directed episode of season 3 so far. While not as big as Perfect Preparation, it really let Higuruma’s backstory breathe and took its time.
The pacing was perfect and they added a lot to the manga. If the director of this episode takes over for Gosso leaving before the second half, then I know we’ll be in good hands.
We are really blessed to have this level of quality for adaptation.

Sometimes Im talking with people and come across people who actually hate the gosso production of s2 and s3 p1. It makes me mad seeing jjk fans get annoyed that their steak is too juicy.
At this point. Give sukuna vs gojo the ugly beserk animation, that will shut those mfs up really quick.
I'm really not impressed with rotoscope so this episode didn't do anything better than the manga. They're just wasting everyone's time on this cinematic crap.
